So I created a quest where you can get rewarded 25gp for every slime killed. The problem is for some reason when I kill them it won't register that I actually killed any. Here are the eventsBoard Page 1.PNG Board Page 1.PNG Board Page 2.PNG Guard Page 1.PNG Guard Page 2.PNG:
I know the switch is activated because I get the, "There are no more bounties" message when I click on the bounty board. (Which is the first two event pages) Also, I set the Slimes killed to 0 after claiming the reward so that it doesn't tack on the previous slime kill count to it.
Troop.PNG
This is the troop page, I have the variable set to +50 because I have the gold output = the Variable, and there are two slimes, registering at 25 each.

EDIT: This is also my second bounty board, the first one worked perfectly, so I'm not sure what went wrong this time. I compared the two and didn't see any differences. Even though the switch is activated I get the, "You haven't killed any Spicy Slimes etc." message from the Guard.

One thing I noticed is that the variable you're using in the troop event is different from the one you are referencing in the rest of your events.
Troop : Var 1 (Slimes Killed)
Event : Var 2 (Spicy Slimes Killed)

Maybe that is your issue?

The problem is you are killing the slimes before it registers. ACE won't run that event if the slimes are dead. The common work around is to make the enemy immortal, then remove the state when they hit 0% HP, but that might have other issues with your quest as it is set up.

I am not quite sure if I get what you are doing here.

You use variable 2 for map event and use variable 1 for battle event.
Is there any event that makes the connection between those two variables?

Variable 2 will not autometicly change just because variable 1 is changed. If there is a need to use two variables, you need to link them together.

Just one more thing about the condition you have here.

I am not sure if you did this on purpose, but with this condition, the battle event will only run when [1. Spicy Slime] is below HP1%.
And [1. Spicy Slime] is one of the two slimes in your troop.

So, if player kills only [2. Spicy Slime] and quite the battle (either defeated or run), the battle event will not trigger, so there will be no count for slime killed.

Or, if player kills only [1. Spicy Slime] and quite the battle, the battle event will still count the player killed both slime.

You just found the problem, I was using the wrong variable for the battle event smh. I guess I shouldn't have the names so similar, and I should remember to check the event number. It's working perfectly now thanks.

Another good point, I should have created a second page for the other slime. Thanks!

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
