    Teaser trailer:

    SYNOPSIS
    • Original tilesets.
    • Original soundtrack.
    • Original character and battler sprites.
    • Original animations.
    • Non-linear/Multiple story-impacting progression paths.
      • Fight your way forward: Turn-Based, Strategic Combat (no random encounters).
      • Non-violent: mechanical and story-based puzzles offer alternatives to combat.
      • Non-linear progression: Choose from an initial three clear paths, and spiral from there to many different results.

    STORY
"My mother wore a shining opal pendant.
When I would ask about it, she would tell me stories of a miraculous fountain.
Its pure waters cured the sick and healed the injured.
A young man discovered it and upon its power founded a great kingdom.
The legend of the king and his fountain spread far to the East and the West.
Many sought the water of life and received its boon.
So when my mother became ill, I knew I must also visit the fountain."

*Please note: This version is a demo/early access. It contains roughly 3-5 hours of content, and the story can be completed for most of the possible endings. However, much of the content is unpolished and some incomplete. Likewise, as a beta, bugs may be present.

Your feedback/bug reports are welcome in this thread!

Always AWESOME to see games with their own assets and a interesting premise. It's a great game. I wish you luck with it.

Thanks for the encouragement! I am a pretty mediocre artist, but it's been a lot of fun making assets none-the-less!

As part of the Release Something Event I've got a demo/early access version of Opal up and running!

    Check it out at https://rubescen.itch.io/opal

Technically most of the game's possible endings can be finished in the current iteration, but it still needs a lot of polish/balancing, bug checking/proofreading, and secondary content. So if you play it and have any feedback or problems with it. Please let me know.
