Yeah, you can do that. I've done it myself on multiple occasions without anything bad happening.

Yes, you can either open them directly through the files in the project folder, or by right clicking the icon in the task bar and then opening the project from there.

I just figured it out by myself, I always tried opening through the menu, didn`t know that you can open more through the folder / game.exe
