I reallllyy don't think Orange/Hudell visits/updates his plugins since he no longer is technically supporting them? >.>

This plugin for some reason turns on all of my switches.

is there a plugin its not compatible with?

I might be mistaken, but just in case I'm right :LZYcheeze:

If you look in the settings for the plugin, there are four listed switches. You can change the number to change which switch is for each type. These turn the layers on and off, e.g. turning the fog layer on and off. You can use this to change which switches you want to use.

I was hoping for this to be my replacement for TDDP BindPicturesToMap. Unfortunately when I try to use the plugin and start the game, it says "cannot read property 'length' of undefined". Do I have to rename ALL of the pictures my game uses? I'm using version 1.5.1

Does anybody know a plugin that does the same that is not TDDP or Kaus?

i don't think the problem is with the plugin itself, is most of the map parallaxed instead of using rpg maker tiles? if it is, try using Yanfly's Region Restrictions plugin so that the player has someplace to walk using regions! i forgot to do that in my first time, and this saved me :D

I have a question, which I apologize if it's been answered before (I didn't have it in me to scroll through 7 pages lol).

Is it possible to scroll the bottom layer the way that fog can scroll? I ask because I have a few maps that take place on a train. I want to be able to have a background layer scrolling left to right, in the windows. So I would need a layer that sits beneath the standard ground layers, which can move.

Again, I apologize if this has been asked already. Thanks!

Hey! so even though I have the <light> and <shadow> tags inserted into the maps notes for some reason the images won't appear. please help, I would be eternally grateful.
(other info to know: the filenames are light3 and shadow3 (the map is map003), organized folders are off, light opacity is 255 (because i manually set up the opacity in my image editor), and that's about it, again please help, I really want to use parallax lighting to make my game look better)

EDIT: I found the problem, everything is fixed.

This plugin is neat but a demo would've been helpful, the instructions are too vague.

Does this image overlay support tinting image commands? I want to make faction turf overlays on my world map and with ability to change its colour with ease.

Hey, So I'm experiencing a problem where when I use orange overlay on big maps the shaddows will be off, by a lot. and IDK why it does that. I'm using orangemapshot so it should be fine but it's not for some reason. if anyone is experiencing/experienced the same issue and knows a solution please help, (also if you want i can upload a picture of what it looks like in my image editing program vs in game if y'all want)

This script call doesn't work.

"Overlay shadow shadow61_3"

It's from these instructions

Overlay layertype filename
Possible layer types: ground, light, shadow, par

The bug is that when you transfer to another map, the overlay you called from your script doesn't reset it's new overlay on the new map. You retain your previous overlay. For example:

Map 1: I call the overlay shadow
If move to the next map
Map2: The overlay shadow from map 1 is now in map 2 even though map 2 has its own shadow. Map 2 shadow is never there.

Any solution to fix this?

I realize this is an old thread but ... has anyone else gotten the plugin commands to work under 1.4+? I'm on 1.4.1 and while everything works using map notetags, I cannot get plugin commands to work at all.

Using "<par>" in the map notetag, for example, works beautifully.

But using plugin command "Overlay par par1.png" or any variation of that simply doesn't function.

Does anyone have any insight?

I keep running into an issue using the Tsukitsune animated overlay addon for this plugin. Could anyone please help me resolve it or redirect me to a better thread?

I'm using animated <ground> overlays via the map notetag. But I keep getting a bug where, as I try to load the map in game after having previously visited a map with a larger number of frames, it just says it's loading and that it can't find a frame for the plugin. But it's always a frame which doesn't exist and which it shouldn't be trying to play!

For example, on this map at the moment there are 5 frames. So in the map notetag I put:
<ground><animate_ground: 5, 5>

But when I try to load it, it says Failed to load: img/parallaxes/ground14_7.png
The 7 could be any other number that goes up to the max number of frames from the map with the larger animation.

It doesn't happen consistently; depending on the speed at which I tell the problem map to animate, sometimes it works with having visted a medium size animation first. But the much bigger one always causes a crash. And sometimes it doesn't work even if I haven't visited anything first!

I would really appreciate any advice, thank you!
