I laughed when I saw the screen shot of the cupcake Inspector and the one of the small girl demanding all their money.  When I get a tiny bit of time I'll definitely try it out.  With enemies like those, this should be fun.

Hehe. I'm glad you enjoyed the humor buddy! =D

I spent a lot of time on making the enemies special too!

Thank you for trying out the game!

OMG what did I just play?  :o    :guffaw:

-First of all, great humour and very unique enemies!

-I'm not gonna comment on your typos and grammatical errors ;)

-The Cupcake Inspector's special attack animation made me laugh. After a while it starts to get old. Any chance you could shorten the animation by 2 seconds or something?

-I think your maps could be better, but hey, they're functional!

-Damn the art for Elfy was good. Who drew her? ;D

-I like custom art, and did I mention I enjoy the very bizarre enemies? ;D

-I have to say, typos and dialogue like LOL aside, you've got very likable characters. Definitely very genki.

-I had to do a lot of grinding in the cave because 1) not enough potions and 2) the enemies hit hard.

-Hey, no fair hitting you with the second boss just after the first! Because of that I had to grind for 20 min ;D

-Oooh, I want those battle and level up scripts

-I thought your game is Orange Shaker. Why is the download file named Recommended Tense Tops?

-Do I even want to know why I had to teleport through a bowl of soup or even ask what Orange Shaker is?

-Why are there food themed enemies running around?

-I also noticed the file size for this demo is relatively huge compared to other games. Is there a way of trimming the fat?
I spent most of the game going, WTF. But hey, it's certainly unique!

All in all, I commend your effort! Congratulations on completing the demo  :)  It must have taken a lot of hard work to make the enemies and animations.

OMG! Thanks for completing the game!! It motivates to make more and improve my games!

Alrite on with ur awesome critiques:

-will work on decreasing enemy attack damage

-will add more skills to players for more damage output

-the battle script I've used is Victor Animated Battle:

http://victorscripts.wordpress.com/rpg-maker-vx-ace/battle-scripts/animated-battle/

combined with Yanfly's Visual Battlers:

http://yanflychannel.wordpress.com/rmvxa/battle-scripts/visual-battlers/

-The Orange Shaker shall be revealed soon! ;D

-I forgot to change the title in game.

-The food makes you unconsciously hungry...and i like that...;D

-I think the file size is big bec it has the RTP included for those that don't have RTP.

Thanks again for playing my game!!!

Yo let me know when you finish YOUR game.

I really want to play it! =D

No worries and thanks for linking to the scripts. I will look at those :3

Perhaps you can offer a non-RTP download version? No worries! Glad you liked the feedback

-I forgot to change the title in game.
Which begs the question, what the heck is 'Recommended Tense Tops'? ;D

Heehee, thanks. I am still learning the engine so I admire that you finished a demo ;D Will let you know!

Update:

-made a download link without RTP version

-the level up script you've requested is Victory Aftermath (forgot to mention it earlier):

Good luck with your game!

Started playing this.  You have the basis of what might potentially be a nice game, but:

  • I think this would benefit from you going back and re-doing some of these opening maps.  e.g. Huge upstairs in the house with 4 rooms - 1 completely empty and 3 with just a bed.  What's with the biggest table in the universe down in the basement?  You could seat 50 people round it.  And so on.
  • There seems to be a spectacularly high miss rate, at least in the first dungeon.  Easily 50% in some of the fights.
  • I have 2 characters inflicted with poison, and no way to heal them, as dispel herb doesn't seem to work on that.
  • An enemy has an all-party confusion spell.  No surprisingly, both characters get it and then, of course, can't heal up.  Coupled with poison it appears to me that you haven't given quite enough thought to the spell distribution in your troops.
  • The spelling is beyond description, and really gets in the way.  Please get someone to proofread and correct your dialogues.  They could be an asset in your game but at the moment are a big minus.

This is all in the first 10 minutes of the game, and is unlikely to pull the non-committed player into engagement with it.  I shall persevere a bit more to see how it goes.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
