Orange Time System

    So I've been trying to figure out a way for the player to look at a clock or a calendar, and get the time and date that way. I got all my variables set, and the clock will reference those, but the time and date is always set to zero and never changes. Is there a way to fix this? I have my initial time set to 8 o'clock, and it looks like the day and night plugin changes depending on what time it is, so I think it's working.

    @arielwoodthen you probably made an error referencing the time variables. Please post screenshots of your event and we can see where you made a mistake.

    Is it possible to trigger for example at night the Orange lightning system?
    So that at night the lanterns glows? But this dont work with the normal tints. I have to set a switch and an variable at night or in the morning.

    Did I can use it this way?


    -Overworld have day/night running.


    -When entering a map, that was not overworld that keep the time freezed.


    -Som even like sleeping make time more. (I se that this one is possible).


    I use dragon quest like house, it's possible to the darkness to only affect outside of the house?


    Maybe by using region id all arround the house for delimitate the house, or by putting tagid(number 1-9, same for poison) for told witch til will not be affected or be affected by days night.


    -Can I choos myself color for days/night or it's bound to darkness?

    Yes.


    To configure what maps you want the time to be paused on, you can use the parameter tilesetList. Add to it the ID of every tileset that isn't used in overworld maps. If you're using the default RTP tilesets, you should set this parameter to 2,3,4,5,6


    For the day/night system, you need to add the OrangeDayAndNight plugin. It allows up to 4 different day periods by default, with different custom tint color for each.

    any way to set specified time for some map?


    I explain, I use some map for flashback, but in flashback time change to a specific value.


    On load of the map I can mak it change but we see the transition.


    Any idea for solve that?


    Also, If I want the player to be abl to look clock for get time, what the best way?.


    I look for a way that avoid to pass by temporary variable.

    Can you add an option please for be able to add equivalent of this (OrangeTimeSystem.paused = true;)


    in map notetag?


    In my projet that will change a lot of thing!

    IT's not what I mean.... I dont what a whole tileset to be affected, just some tiles.


    For exemple every tiles with a tag 1 or regionid 1 will not get affected by the script and keep full light. 


    Th inside of my house was not on another map, it's on the same map like dragon warrior 4.


    So i want outsise of the house to be affected but not inside lol or not afected as much..

    Ah, the plugin currently doesn't have any option to work that way

    I got a question.


    I use a script for start common event on each map_load.


    Im map load I use: OrangeTimeSystem.hour = $dataMap.meta.time_set;


    For test I put meta to 12.


    I create 2 new map with tp between each other. First map did't have the tag.


    I realize that when I cange map the period of the day that was 1 change to 2.


    If I cange map again to the first map it's ok.


    If I change to the second one again that go to 4.


    It's look like they have some trouble with this =:0(


    Any idea where that commin from?

    Hi I just downloaded the demo and the pluglin. In the demo there's a HUD for the time but in my game there is not. Am I not turning something on or what?

    On map 1 I put notinh in tag.


    In map 2 I put <time_set:12>


    I start on map 1 and it's show that the time part of the day is 1. It's fine...


    I change on map 2 and it's change to 2 and one second after to 4...


    I return map 1 and that stay at 4.


    I when back to map 2 and he go to 2 and 1 second after to 4...


    One idea where that comming from?

    You're changing the time to 12pm every time you enter the map.


    What did you put on the params dayPeriod1Hour, dayPeriod2Hour, dayPeriod3Hour and dayPeriod4Hour?

    6-9-18-20. Default one.


    Yes I set it to 12 exactly because it'S th function that seem to give me trouble just after a cinematic.


    EDIT: My code on each map load:


    if($dataMap.meta.time_set !== undefined){


    OrangeTimeSystem.hour = $dataMap.meta.time_set;


    OrangeTimeSystem.updateTime();
