Now, before you call me insane, a little background:
I moved to Canada 10, almost 11 years ago so I grew up eating the little pieces of heaven.
However, one thing I noticed straight away was that the Oreos up here tasted significantly different from the ones I was used to back in the States. So much so, that I basically stopped eating them.
I bet you're wondering: How could there even be a difference?! Canada is the 51st state anyway, and a cookie is a cookie.
Well, know the bargain Western Family (or whichever else you may be used to) brand you'd get for a fraction of the cost, and that tasted like little pieces of fake chocolate with a disgusting filling? That is what Canadian Oreos taste like. If you even have the chance/means, do your own taste test...but they are one of a few things I've noticed that are significantly different up North (Twinkies are another; much drier up here).
Anyone else have anything else that tastes different in different places they've been?
