Here in Finland we don't have custom to normally tip as we pay normal wages even for those that work as waiters etc.
Also, your restaurant workers get paid better. Over here, they make FAR LESS THAN MINIMUM WAGE. (which is pretty stupid IMHO )

I used to work as tech support over the phone for Norway's second-largest ISP. One time we had a woman call in who was super pissed that we kept billing her. Turned out we were billing her for her son's internet connection, but her son had died several months earlier. But other support people had been difficult and not listened to her, telling her that her son had to cancel the subscription; she wasn't authorized to do it for him. I had to take the case to a manager and get angry at him to get it fixed for her. They're really lucky she didn't go to the news with it. I'm just amazed at how "robotic" people can be at their jobs when they refuse to believe a woman who says her son has died; she had even sent evidence multiple times through the support system.

On a happier note, there was the "Lion of Africa", a very very weird man who talked with a jamaican accent and was convinced the illuminati and majestic 11 (yes 11, not 12) were spying on his internet connection, demanding we "hand over the traceroute logs" to him. He called us a lot, and it was always a treat.

a couple of weeks ago, a woman came in, wanting our mobile guy (contract cell phones in our store are actually handled by another company with their own kiosk) to fix her phone. I don't remember the exact nature of her problem, but it wasn't something they could do, that she would have to contact her provider and get things sorted out herself. Well, she threw an almighty fit (drunk out of her head, mobile guy said), ranting and screaming, and even throwing her phone, which landed right in the trash can. She demanded that we get it for her. Uh. No. So she starts tossing trash all over the floor to get to her phone. Mobile guy very calmly told her to stop or we would call the police. She storms up to the service desk, demanding this and that, and one of our managers, who was very new, and apparently a pushover, said, "can't we comp her a phone." HELLS NO.

One of the other guys who works in our department said she'd been in before, and actually threw a kicking, screaming, beating the floor with her fists tantrum.

A month or ago, some guy came up to the mobile kiosk for five contract phones. Every time mobile guy asked for ID, the guy produced a DIFFERENT ID WITH DIFFERENT NAMES AND SOMETIMES DIFFERENT PHOTOS. So, obviously, this isn't happening, and mobile guy says there's nothing he can do, because, y'know, scam. So, the guy gets all mad and up in mobile guy's face, demanding a manager, and blah blah blah. Well, our HR manager happens by and asks what's wrong. There's ranting and swearing and demands being made, and our manager says, yeah, no, we can't do that for you. Then, this guy says it's because he's black and there's no diversity here and yada yada. Our manager says,"uh, I'm gay as the day is long, so, diversity right here." The guy huffed on out, muttering and swearing.

This stuff irks me a lot with tech support companies, especially ISPs and the like... I imagine a lot of the people in those companies just read off a script because they're brain dead after years of doing the same thing or something :/

Must be some cultural thing as that is not how the racism works.


Lion of Africa sounds like some kind of wrestler name.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
