Overworld Character goes away when knocked out

Is there a plugin that allows me to do the following?

1. Force a knocked out character to the bottom of the party formation, promoting the top-most healthy party member
2. Makes the knocked out party member not appear on the overworld (when the "caterpillar" function is enabled).

When we enter battle and the character is knocked unconscious on the ground, it doesn't make sense that they're walking around like nothing happened on the overworld. If that makes sense?

I can somewhat solve your second dilema, You can simply make a paralel event on your overworld that checks if any of your actors are in a state of knockback if they do you could either remove them or remove them then add them back and "Change Actor Graphic" to an invisible sprite (The None Sprite :) ) and then when you heal them or resurect them just change it back.

This seems like a nice solution. Plus, it's always better to avoid plugins if you can.


At the same time, I'm trying to write a plugin that does what you asked (I need practice !).
I'll let you know when it's done ;)

In the mean time, I'll mess with the parallel event, but I think it might cause problems with how I've built the game. I have no idea how to change an actor graphic when reviving them with an item or skill...

There you have a first version that SHOULD do what you want ;) I didn't test it on a full game, so let me know if anything goes wrong... as it very well might !
It could cause trouble if a characters dies outside of the battle scene, as the code to change the party order is only called after a battle scene.

Hey thanks for your plugin! I have one small problem with it. The player can still manually put a KOd party member to the front of the party after this runs which messes with everything. They're still invisible on the overworld and it uses the second party member, but with how I've built my game, I always check for the actor ID of the party leader and have them talk to NPCs, so in this instance, a KOd person is talking to NPCs.

Is there a way to make it that one of the following happen?
1. The game dissalows the user to change the formation spot of a KOd party member
2. If a KOd party member is brought to the front, it forces them to the bottom of the party after they exit the menu.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
