I recently bought the "Modern + Study Time" tileset (https://us.degicashop.com/collections/dlcs/products/modern-study-time-mv) and it says that it's compatible with MZ, but I don't think it really is.

I've added the map type and the floor tiles are all messed up.
Is this a problem for this specific tileset or is there a process to optimize the tileset to MZ before installing?

Pretty new, so any help would be appreciated!

Can you provide screenshots? Tilesets that are for MV, always work in MZ too.

I've added the map type and the floor tiles are all messed up.
that usually means that you added the tilesheets into the wrong slots.

a tilesheet for A1 can ONLY be used in the A1 slot, nowhere else.
same goes for A2 to A5

only the B-E tilesheets can be interchanged, and none of them will ever fit into any A#-slot.
and what you describe might be what happens if you place a B-tilesheet into A1 or A2...

^I'll just show the ground tiles, since they're the ones that are messed up

^That shows the preview of what should be included in the "ground" tiles

^When I click "OK", it doesn't make the tiles from the preview available.

^When I try to use even the ones that it did register, the outcome it a mash of them combined.

Nevermind!
I found the cause. For some reason they used the floor tiles in A5 instead of A2
Newbie mistake there

that sheet does not look as if it is intended for A2 at all.

as I said above there are six different tilesheet formats, and you have to keep them to the correct slots.

that is because the different slots are hardcoded with different functions.

Andar is correct. You can't put anything in A1 - A4 that does not say it is made for those. A1 - A4 are autotiles, and those have to be a special format to work. Putting anything else there will result in what just happened for you.

A5, and B - E on the other hand are sheets like the one you put in.

Sorry everyone, I am here sporadically.
