Hey Ardaz,

I talked to the dancing director standing "above" him. You made the player walk left and he went into a chair (I think) which is where the game froze. I'll give it another try with the polished version later today to give more helpful feedback. :) I do like the "breathing time" between breaks. I think I'm just used to a faster walking speed, haha.

I figured the battle was a joke, lol. If you have the time you could play on goofs movies tend to have. Like a set piece that looks real collapsing in the background, revealing it's flat. Or give the battle background a mirror and add a vaguely visible camera man to it. Stuff like that would be awesome. <3 Just an idea. ^_^

Yeah, that would be really awesome! I'm not sure at the moment how much more time we're gonna invest in the project as were planning on moving to another project already, but that is just the kind of thing that would have been really fun to work on if we had had more time to develop the game.

About the bug... that's definitely fixed on the updated version. Being our first time using RPG Maker, we did lots of mistakes like that especially on the beginning, but I think they are all fixed in the updated version.

The walking speed is slow in quite a few parts of the game. It just felt more realistic, more cinematic. You get used to it ;)

Really glad you're willing to give it another shot with the updated version! Let us know what you think!

Reviewing Panorama (updated version):

Ah, you fixed the music, good!

The dancing was kind of fun but I thought the controls were a bit awkward; having to use just one hand. Also when the letters started dropping down vertically I didn't realize what was going on and got almost all of them wrong. Might be nice to have a second row of vertical letters or just a few at first to get used to the sudden change.

The actual eventing was excellent, though. The other dancers running around, it was so colorful!

Aaand I run into another bug. After listening to them talk through the window (detective area) I tried to go in and they cut the scene as I did something wrong. Upon my second attempt -- after picking up the gloves and wrench -- I can't enter saying I have to listen "in front of the windows first". But I already did that and can't do it again. Bug?

In the updated version? This was fixed for sure... This happened if you talked again with Marvin because he did not disappear, but now there shouldn't be the possibility... Did you do anything after getting the wrench? Where did you download the updated version?

So sorry you're running into so many bugs...

I can't answer those questions as I didn't save beforehand and have forgotten. :') Who is Marvin again? I'll give it another go and will save before the scene. I could only talk to the director and a guy off-stage all the way at the bottom, though... I don't know why I'm running into so many bugs! I can never seem to find them in my own games, haha. Maybe we should be each other's beta testers. :p Will report my findings later today or tomorrow~!

Maybe we should, haha. Finding bugs for your game is hard, as you have to put yourself in the place of a player that doesn't know what you do.

Anyway, the thing is that that bug was actually the last one we fixed, and that character off the set shouldn't be there. That might mean two things: or we didn't fix it properly or we didn't update some of the download links and you downloaded the previous version. So, where did you downloaded from? What link was it?

Thanks a lot again, and sorry!!

Okay, I tested it again and it the bug is fixed as I said. I checked all the links we have spread throught the net and I found one the was indeed not changed and was still showing the previous updated version: the one at the bottom of our submission page. If you downloaded it there, that must be it (it would be really bad luck!). It's easy to tell if you played the last version: did a language selector appear at the beginning with an option to play the game in English or Spanish? If it didn't, then it wasn't the newest version.

Nope, I don't remember a language selector. I got it from the bit.ly "updated download link" at the bottom of the page. :'D I guess that one wasn't really updated yet then, haha.

edit: Got the new version now. You haven't fixed the chair issue in the dance club. Just tested it, it's still bugged. Fortunately I saved right before. ;)

FINALLY FINISHED THE GAME YAY. Didn't see that plot twist coming tbh. What happens if I shoot myself at the end? Same ending or a different one?

You're absolutely right! Now I see what you meant about the musical director, and it is not fixed. We need the player to talk to him from below, so we'll have to put some kind of obstacle on the upper tile.

About the ending, it's basically the same ending although the lines at the end are different. It's more about how you feel and what would you have done. Thanks for playing, Cinnamon!

Um.. you made so hard about searching someone in a horror set. The game is not a detective genre. You need to make it easy.

And you need to shrink the file size. It's huge for a simple game.

It might be too hard... We already made it easier when we were testing the game and I thought now was okay, we haven't had any complaints about this. We'll look into it.

Yeah, decreasing the size is something we've wanted to do for a while. We almost didn't made it to the deadline and didn't have time to clean it up and then it just stayed this way.

So for Spanish not being your first language this is a damn good story. I think a few of the scenes could use some real work in dialogue though. Seems a lot might have been lost in translation. This game surprised me at the end and really made all the prior stuff I noticed come together really well. I mean, really very good job on the last scene! Hopefully nobody has had it spoiled and they play the game first because...damn. Good stuff.

Well, thanks dinkledaberry! We make an interesting point about the dialogue needing some work. The game was originally written in Spanish and it was obviously a mistake: we ran out of time at the end and had to translate everything very very quickly.

However, we need to write good dialogue in English even if it's not our first language. I would've hoped that the final result was good enough at least, and some reviews have actually mentioned the dialogue as a strong point of the game, so if you could remember if a special scene or line that was especially cringeworthy, it would be a big help. It has to be noted also that in some cases a bad line may be intentional, as the scenes use an exaggeration of its genre, so the melodrama is obviously overly melodramatic, the adventure is kind of silly, and so on.

If I get the chance I'll provide a few examples for you! I'm working to polish my game to a level I'm comfortable with before I have more free time.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
