I'm creating a custom map for my RPG game. I recently created a background artwork following the game map's dimension (408x312) via Photoshop. When I load it in via Parallax Background, instead of seeing the background in full, I see four separate images. Any reason for this?

Note: I had saved the image in img > parallaxes and loaded it from there.

Your numbers are wrong - 408x312 is much to small and not even a legal map size.
408 pixels means 8.5 tiles on the map, and 8.5 tiles is below minimum map size. And a parallax always has to be a full multiple of 48x48 (tile size).

Tell us your map size in tiles and we can tell you how large the parallax has to be.

Andar, how do I check for my map size in tiles? I'm new to RPG Maker MV.

UPDATE: Did a quick check and spotted this: 001:MAP001 (17x13) <-- is this the one?

Right-click on the map name and select properties, it gives the Windows where you originally set the numbers for a new map.

That's odd. When I right click, this is what I see as attached in the image. Is it under Edit ?

Then your parallax has to be (17*48) x (13*48) or 816x624 pixels

Ahh thanks, Andar! So the math is essentially map size (height/width) x 48 yeah?

@Nitrogue A single tile is 48x48 pixels. Example: a 20x20 tile map is 960x960 pixels.

Oh wow, just got word the police are looking for an armed suspect within a 2 block radius of my office. Super glad I'm not there right now. :kaoswt:
