The maps I'm making are all hand drawn by myself in a paint program. All of the tiles and such were made to fit a 32x32 grid, but when it loads into rpg maker, it's not fit to the grid correctly.

Is there a way I can just move the image in order to make it fit?

Secondly, when playtesting the game, it shows several of the map.

How do I fix it so that it only shows the main map?

Thanks

@dIgItayel Your images are not showing. Please edit your post and try again.

If you are doing this, this is what is called a parallax map, and to make it work properly you will need a parallax script. There are several available, one of the most popular is Yanfly's.

EDIT
Having re-read your post, I'm now a little confused. Is it the map you are making, or the individual tiles? If it's the individual tiles, have you put them into the correct format for the particular tabs? For example, B-E tiles will not fit on the A tab, as they are formatted differently.

My bad for the images. They're at the bottom, in the order they were at the top.

I'm creating the entire map, not just the tiles.

This looks like your parallax image isn't large enough. Your parallax map (or map in general) should be at least the size of your game screen or larger. It looks like your map size isn't as large as your game resolution either. If you don't make your map that size

The easiest way to fix it would be to increase the size of your image. You could add a black border around it that is several 32x32 blocks thick instead of changing the layout of what you have.

I can't open Ace at the moment, but I think you can check boxes in the map properties so that the image does not repeat.

Make sure these boxes are unchecked.

Sorry guys, I8rose got it. The picture is not big enough. When it's a picture smaller than the map size, it will autotile to fill in the space. I tested this myself. screen size 640x480 and use a default background image makes it 'autotile'.

Thanks all :)
I still have the first issue, though. Any ideas on how to fix that?

I don't understand. You don't have multiple but need it moved? It should have been the same fix which was mentioned by l8rose. Use a photo editing program to make you picture the same size as the map. 17 tiles wide * 32 = 544 pixels, 13 tiles high * 32 = 416 pixels. Then you can put a black border around it or have it transparent.

If you're referring to changing your image itself, you'll need to change it in whichever program you used to make the map.
To add the increase in size in photoshop, I would do it like this:

example.png

Add the height of one of the squares to what is there already for height while making sure to have the down arrow clicked. It is super important to have the bottom arrow clicked. Doing that will force the newly added space to show up at the very top of your image. Otherwise, it would just divide the additional size between both top and bottom of your map.

There should be a similarly named option in GIMP and I know Krita has one called Resize Canvas. I think you can use resize in Paint but I don't use that enough to know.

Step 1 : Create a drawn map with a 544x416 pixels size. If your map is smaller (like the one on your post), just add a black/transparent background around it following the 32x32 grid to fill the screen like Roninator2 said. If your drawn map is more than one screen large, it's fine.

Step 2 : If your map is larger than one screen, use a fixed parallax script to fix it to the grid when you move. Yanfly's Parallax Lock allows you to do this with notetags.

I fixed my map and inserted the Yanfly script, but this has brought on a new issue, shown in the following video. How do I fix this?

The picture is still not big enough. Tell us what the pixel size your picture is?

Okay I get it, you're using a 640x480 resolution based on your screenshots, which is not the standard VX Ace resolution. Your pic needs to be 640x480 pixels, and the map 20x15 tiles. I'm not sure if Yanfly's script can handle different resolutions though.
