hello all. I'm attempting to have an event where if the player stands on a specific tile and pressed a button, a door will open.

The issue is that the event where I want the player to stand is set to 'player touch' as I want it to play an se when they step on it.
So I set up a parallel process to handle this, however it isn't working and I'm not quite sure as to what's wrong.

When you post a screenshot of an event, could you please use Alt + Printscreen rather than just Printscreen? It captures the window, but not the desktop, which makes it easier to see what's going on.

What sets variable 2?

I'd actually do something like this - use a single event that has a Player Touch page and a Parallel Process page:

Page 1 - Player Touch
Play SE and turn on self switch A

Page 2 - Parallel Process, conditioned by self switch A
Conditional Branch: The C button is being pressed
... do stuff
End
Conditional Branch: player has moved off event (you might need to set a couple of variables first and test those)
... turn off self switch A
End

If you want it all to only happen once, include turing on self switch B in the "button pressed" logic, then add a third page with no commands and an Action Button trigger, conditioned by self switch B.

Thank you Shaz, it's working fine now. I'll keep that in mind for next time.

Just remember, doing it your way - with the first page a parallel process event, because you've got no 'wait' command, it's going to be checking 60 times a second, so could cause lag. Doing it the way I suggested, it's only a parallel process event while the player is standing on that exact spot - before they step on it, and after they leave it, it's not parallel process, so no lag.

If you find that's an issue, that's one thing you could look at changing.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
