Hello there!

I'm creating a pokemon-like where the theme is food, specifically Japanese style lunch boxes, known as bento. I want party members/monsters to have a "size," so rather than actor 1, 2, 3, etc, the party had to meet a size requirement. Some Monsters could be counted as 1 or half, while some party members count as 3, etc. If your bento box was too packed, you couldn't save your party, but a smaller bento box would be fine as you are crafting new monsters to fill it. One you defeated a "gym Leader" you could increase your bento box.

Would anyone be willing to help me with something like this? Thank you for any and all help! :LZScat:

How many monsters will be present in battle? Because by default, battle members are members 1-4. Would this system mean that everyone in your "party" will be in battle no matter how many are there?

I think a number I like is 3. So, only 3 active members at a time, while like pokemon, able to switch monsters out. The requirement is only for building your building what you have in reserve when going into battle.

So what you're looking for is a way to assign actors a weight parameter, and restrict actors from joining the party if their weight would push the cumulative weight of all members greater than the parties maximum? That's something I'd be interested in doing. If I were to provide the additional parameters to the actors and the party would you then find a way to represent this visually to the player (either via simple text or using menus etc)? Or do you need an in-built way of doing this?

Yes! That’s correct. If I had the base in how to do this, I’ll try my best to figure out how to illustrate this to the player. Thank you for being willing to help me! :LZSkiss:

Okay, I think I've got something for you that should be close to what you need. Just let me know if there's anything that needs tweaking, adding or if there's any compatibility issues.

Just a note, for the time being I haven't changed the way the "add actor" event command works so it will still be able to add actors to the party even if there is no more weight space left - just in case you had important characters in your game that absolutely had to be added to the party you could still use it for that. There's a plugin command that will restrict adding actors based on weight though so you have the best of both worlds. If needs be though I can completely overwrite the "add actor" event command so that won't let actors join if they have too much weight.

EDIT: It would be useful if I actually gave you a link :guffaw:
You can download the plugin here.

I've just come across a tiny issue with the plugin I gave you that could potentially affect its plugin commands or the plugin commands of other plugins. I've updated now, sorry about that! You can re-download here.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
