It's been a while since I've been on here, and since then, I've started a new modern-themed project.

Anyway, I have a few things I'd like help with, but I think I'll post them one at a time since I end up focusing on one thing at a time in this program, anyway.

First off, I'd like to know if there's a way to pass through an impassable tile without using move routes. I don't want to turn Through On and make it possible for the player to move into the walls and things. Of course, if there's a way to flawlessly prevent that with a move route (make it feel like the player's movement isn't being controlled both sides of the tile in question) then that'd work too. Mainly, I'm trying to figure out a way to get a character to move through tiles that may be in the way on an open street (i.e. tiles for a building's roof that may be in the place of a street tile). I don't know if I want to use the Star Passability thing in the Database, but that might work. I'd just like other ideas to go along with it.

Edit: And I just came across a new problem. For whatever reason, the player is unable to move around in a passable tile as soon as they transition from one area to another for some reason. Like, in this case, I've made transitions from inside of a building to the outside. He/she is put in place that has a passable tile, but for some reason, I can not move them once they are outside. There are no events as of yet on the outside that would prevent movement due to autorun or something similar.

I think that Neon Black's script Terrain Tags may be what you're looking for.

Question: Can the player turn but not move, or can he neither turn nor move?
If he cannot turn, then you have an active autorun either on the map or in the common events.

If he can turn, then it is a passability problem - either the player stands on a non-passable tile or the first tile on the B-sheet of the tileset is not set to star passability (that tile has to be transparent and set to star, or the passability is broken).

Thanks guys.

And the first tile in the B Set wasn't set to star. Set it to star and it fixed. I'm sure I'll have more questions real soon, so I'd prefer if this thread was left open.

No, we prefer it if every new problem has a new topic to help other people searching for solutions.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
