I have some wall tiles set as X in the passage tab, yet when in-game the player can just pass right through them as though they were Os.. I unfortunately can't include any screenshots of this (the Print screen button on my comp doesn't work).

Anyone know how to fix this?

Is the first tile on the B-tiles set to a star?

No, they're circles. I then made a new tile-set and the B-tiles DID have the first tile set as a star, but then i changed it to a circle. Then the walls didn't stop the player in-game

EDIT: The problem seems to be with the B tiles. When I have only the A tiles, the X'd walls stop the player, but as soon as i specify B tiles, the Xs cease to work.

The first tile in the B-section must always be set to a Star due to functionality purposes. (it should be a blank tile)

If you don't put a B-E tile on any tile on the map, the top left tile of the B tab is what's used by default. That's also the tile you use if you want to 'erase' any existing B-E tiles from the map. So that tile must ALWAYS have a star passability, and must NEVER have a graphic on it (in fact, even if you PUT a graphic on it, it won't show up in the map editor).


If you have an O on that tile, you'll be able to walk almost all over the map. If you have an X on it, you'll hardly be able to walk anywhere. It needs a star.

Thanks guys! I put the B-tile back to star and it worked.

A mod can go ahead and close this thread now.

Because The Fury from Metal Gear Solid 3 is one of my favorite bosses of all time, I felt the need to make a somewhat similar boss for my own game. taking cues from both the Fury and another awesome astronaut boss, Captain Vladimir from No More Heroes 2.
RE4make almost had me with their demo until I got to the dog stuck in a bear trap and realized that he was dead and could no longer be saved. Just not the kind of reimagining I'm interested in.
