Hello! I usually make trees (and other small but tall things) so the bottom row is impassable (X) and the upper tiles are passable under tile (a star).
This works fine if my actors are only one square tall, but when I use larger actors (or other moving events), when they walk on the tile below the tree, their top gets cut off. Here's an illustration of this, where the upper traction-engine is a moving event, but its chimney is cut off by the tree, despite this not making visual sense:

Is there any way in RMMZ (or plugins) to get around this, so a traction-engine would be covered by the tree if it passed behind (on a row higher than thu trunk) but not cut off when the main tile of the traction-engine event is below the tree? (This happens with the very top of characters' hair even if they're just two squares tall, 96px)
If not, can anyone suggest a workaround other than making my sprites smaller or my entire tree impassable?
tl;dr help, I am so tall my head goes behind the tree I'm in front of.
