This is Daniel Zen.


I'm creating a wonderful innovative game in RPG Maker XP. I have had previous work experience in the past various installments of RPG Makers.


I will not continue any  release of information on further work until I find story board writers to help participate ideas. I cannot compensate anybody with any kind of money financially, all work must be voluntarily but name will be duely credited upon commercial release. If anybody is interested please notify through the comments below or request so in PM to me and I will get back to you soon as I can.


This is a very serious commercial project on the works which I cannot disclose any further information than what I have already presented even if elaborated further in idea discussion to you via publicly or private via p.m.  ( In plain words, please don't let too much out if you're in the know ;)  but do tell your friends all about this! ha-haa thanks! )


Ahem, Ok that being said, ladies and gentlemen. I present to you; in the up-most dedication to you (atleast in it's core idea in sprectrum) RPG MAKER XP powered


Passion Of Hearts [ A innovative RPG that will be one of it's own kind. ]


Times our changing. So must the games of today. RPG Maker in all it's installments is a wonderful great tool and really gets people in a developers mind's set. The 2d aspects we all know and love is always awesome! All of us traditional rpg fans really love it and how potentially unlimited it is fun to create and play these wonder 2-dimensional creations. It takes work, passion, maybe a good team or just a couple friends playing around. We do it because it's cool, we do it because it's fun, but regardless of the reason all in all, we love to do it.


And that's what I want to bring on a commercial PC scale to the masses! 


A innovative 2-dimensional RPG maker that's innovative and full of passion.


This will be a massive success, we are already brainstorm awesome ideas including UI options for future development into game-play back at the computer lab


(with my friends at @LimpopoBanaGames hey guys! :)  )


We will distribute to a large scale audience that will surely love this game! 


I will even have various translators abroad who translate and together we will network the game globally available for hardsale copy [via disc] in these various translations.


All games sold will be hard-copy upon first release with copyrighted barcodes/ISMN  [ Sold as game/soundtrack, all music for this video-game is built in house. ]


Here's our progress at the team development so far.


+ We are developing a abstract experimental sound-track that's influenced mainly by hip hop afro rhythm and traditional symphony music. Very epic ! ! !


+ This game will have 3 different custom battle system.


    - One resembles a beat em up Zelda ABS, (Influenced by Rm2k's Shattered Samurai)


    - One system will test your luck in a game of craps. A hardcore gamble dice based battle system. Very intense! [  RPG-STYLE  (influences by Q-Heretic's Rm2K's CBS's )  ]


    - The third will be a tactical puzzle spell system. THIS IS UNDER CLASSIFIED DEVELOPMENT. It's entirely brand new and nothing like these two battle systems but this one is the real kicker.


Sorry only project developer members can know about it. Let's just say, this will blow it all out the water in any RPG game ever to do it before.   


+  We will be developing and implementing heavy and precise RUBY scripting. ( This is all new to us at our development team but we will be working very hard for a BETA PLAYABLE DEMO FREE FOR LIMITED TIME ONLY PUBLIC RELEASE AT SELECT HOST'S COMING SOON! )


+ Custom Graphics, Live Animated Cutscenes with CGI Animation, Live Vocal Performances, Custom Sound Effects.


+ Uniquely innovative story line. This will be a award winning, nothing like it. This includes a selection of characters


- - - -BONUS:: COMPLETED GAME WILL BE DISTRIBUTED WITH EXTRA CONTENT IN THE GOLD DISC VERSIONS. ALL VERSIONS WILL BE WILL HAVE RTP INCLUDED TO PLAY FULL .EXE. ;) ;) :)  including all the gold disc copies will have the official team autograph on every copy!


The story is now! The time is here! It's always ever changing and growing in the Passion of Hearts. A innovative game play intrinsic to a story that always build further.


Our story starts with Kasela and Monyaki whom are brother and sister. Kasela is a strong noble humble young man who strives to be more in his skills to harness magic power. Monyaki is a kind hearted healer who specializes in creating sacred herbs. Together they farm locally for the village and run a medicinal herbal store in their home. But one day, a robber sends a message who threatens them to leave before bad things happen. Next day, the robber kidnaps their younger sister Kalia when she possessed the sacred jewels of Oshaen. The keeper of the sacred herbs in medicine. With it the robber can use it's magic to cause rampage as he desires. Little does he know that there is a much darker power waiting to possess the jewels, following Kalia. As she contains a sacred gift far more powerful and unknown to anyone has ever known.


Kasela and Monyaki must set out and return to find their sister, they will need to wield their hearts in for a journey. Carry their passions through. It is one unforgettable ride that no-one will ever


expect!

This topic is very unorganized and the story itself is barely coherent. Look at some of the other threads and see how they're organized and try to follow suit - it makes it a lot easier for people like me to see if what you're pushing is worth their time.

I see.  In that case, I look forward to pre-ordering your fabulous game.  Between the CGI Animation in RPG Maker XP, and the "hardcore craps" battle system, your game will certainly be one of its own kind! :)

@Wavelength U continue to throw low blow. I will have to report you requesting banning and I will make sure a admin see's fit to it.


@IAmJakeSauvage I don't know what you are inferring to specifically. It was written all in a moment's notice with quick development notes and a rough drafted story board from the Team's notes. There isn't much detail to be given at this moment yet but I appreciate the advice and will work on doing bringing a better more concluded presentation to present to the audiences.

What IAmJakeSauvage is trying to say is that you are more likely to get people interested in your thread if you take some time to write your post in a more organised manner, not as "quick development notes". If you want people to take you seriously, a little more professionalism couldn't hurt :)

So you refuse to start development without someone to help you do the MOST BASIC aspects?

Oh, honey. I know it seems to people that everyone is out to steal their ideas but believe me, we don't care. We all have wonderful ideas in our heads, it's all about how they get implemented and the level of polish on the product..

Work and passion of a team you won't pay and you will reap all the commercial benefits? Can't say that seems fair from any angle.

Not to sound naggy but you haven't said a single thing about the game yet, so this sounds quite empty so far.

Will these actually get paid? Translation doesn't come cheap.

Putting the cart before the horse, here. Focus on having a game for sale first THEN decide on the method of delivery. This is literally the least important thing at this stage.

Not particularly doubting this since I know nothing about music, but hiphop+afro(is that a music type?)+symphony=EPIC is not something that seems...viable? Again, speaking as a total zero in music. Just seems an odd combination to call epic.

I suspect this will mean it will have 3 roughly and poorly balanced modes. I'd rather have a single solid one, to be honest. Unless you mean specific minigames like the war games and duels in Suikoden?

I'm sure you don't mean to sound like it, but this sounds a bit egocentric and pretentious, so you may want to tone down a bit on the promises until you can deliver or at least show a prototype of some kind. This sort of overblown self-advertisment will come back and bite you in the ass.

I would have somewhat believed a newcomer too high on the daydreams of "I WILL MAKE AN EPIC VIDEOGAME!" but this isn't it, so eh. No use feeding the trolls. Good luck with your fantasy project that's never gonna happen. I greatly look forward to any prototype or demo if anything ever does come out of this mishmash.


Honestly I gotta say, there's no use making empty trollbait posts HERE. We get too many newcomers making similar (if less clearly trolly) ones with actual intent (that never goes anywhere). It's the circle of life for newcomers, almost. Everyone starts nearly delusional with visions of successful 40 hour epic bestsellers from the word go (ahahaha~).


If you wanted to actually stand out you should have thrown in some ridiculous graphics or something. Step up your game, cmon.

I'm sorry, but I both cringed and shook my head as I read through your entire post. Good luck with your game making aspirations, but seriously you need to do a lot of work on your ego first and foremost.

I am telling you all. This is not a joke. It was presented last minute, but all promises be made to deliver with no compromise. If worse come to worse then our team will re-assess and find new ways to implement all of the development ideas.


* Confirmation! A playable Proto-Type will be released for FREE PUBICALLY as soon as June 25th.


--- UPDATE:: Now I am told the playable prototype is actually a side-game that will demonstrate the best features from the main original game in development with extra content exclusive to this demo only.


Over here today with some friends @LimpopoBanaGames. Erin has said to tell the public, if they want any development ideas they would love to see in the upcoming demo. Please write them down to us and we'll see what we can do. Thanks

I'd like to reiterate what has already been said, which is you should be careful in making promises without anything to show. It will come back to haunt you later. This topic seems less of 'Early Game Feedback' and more of a space for you to jot down your thoughts. In which case, you should make use of a pen and paper.

Making fun of our product and development ideas wont make you better than us. IT will only make us better. Hate it or love it we will complete this project make assured guaranteed success. 


There is already fans anticipating even before a screen shot release. This is a good sign of good fortune to come. Bless to the fans and friends who support the cause.


The development is in progress as of now. Whence a playable version is released. We will link a downloadable demo for the public freely including screen caps and various promotional teasers.

Most of the earlier RM2K files are lost on the seas of the ancient internet or computers/discs that may or may not longer be around as I do not currently possess any copies of these files.


For legal purposes understand, we cannot disclose use in the Rm2K engine creating those games from those Early Years. I am however able to freely talk of my involvement with using, testing, and stage developing various applications along in these older installments.


I am also including general basic programming experiences. That's it really. My resume shall remain anonymous.

Less is more. You should be able to sell your game to us with content and not just words. No one here is impressed by your dreams and all your lofty goals. And I can guarantee if you take this to any other community they will feel the same. I recommend you try again after you've got some of your many ideas actually realized.

Hello, I'm sorry everyone is treating you like a troll. I think you are getting a lot of negative feedback because of the way your thread is written. You put so much focus in the development of the game and how great it is, rather than telling us about the game and letting aspects of the game SHOW us how great it is. Since you are familiar with award winning writing, I'm sure I don't need to tell you how important it is to show and not tell.


Perhaps if people saw a little more of your game right at the start of the thread, they'd be able to see how impressive your project is! Let the game speak for itself, rather than burying your plot in the middle.
