Passive Skill Issues & Poison Formula Help

Hi there, I'm having a couple issues that I'm trying to get by and I can't quite seem to get through them.

The first is a passive healing ability one of my actors. He learns a skill that recovers a set amount of HP per step on the field (if you're familiar with Etrian Odyssey 3 and 4 you'll know what I'm referring to: Triumphant March and Bracing Walk respectively). I've tried with eventing and the variables and conditions just aren't clicking...

The other is a controlled/ leveled Poison state. I want to have at 5 or 10 levels max, at either fixed damage at each level, or respective to one of the user's stats (with the latter option I can add more control over Poison in boss fights). Since the Poison state (or HP degen states) is handled by HP% I have no idea of working around this.

well, I have a Slip Damage EX script that allows you to use custom formulas for slip damages...

For the first question, you can make a parallel process common event that checks the current position (X and Y) of the character and compare it with a previously saved value, if one of the position components is different, then your character moved so do the healing via the event too... then save the new positions...

Else, you can use my slip damage ex too plus someone's passive states or something I think...

For the healing skill, you could try using a conditional branch with the script call "$game_player.moving?" and then adding health that way. I'm not too sure how to go about the poison thing, though.  :(

@adiktuzmiko: The poison part works great~ The only issue is that it doesn't update itself, i.e. when the enemy is poisoned and it slips damage, I'm not notified in anyway shape or form that it's taking the slip damage until it just dies. No log, no pop up numbers. It's only with Yanfly's Battle Engine I see the update...

Well, yes... the pop-up is currently reliant on Yanfly's pop-up because the default battle system of Ace doesn't do pop-ups... but the hp should be updating though...

btw are you using any pop-up script (non-Yanfly)? or maybe some script that won't allow you to use yanfly's? coz personally, I'm not too into adding my own pop-up coz that might cause incompatibility with other pop-up scripts... but I might try it out, once I learn how to do that...

Well the pop ups are included in Yanfly's Battle Engine. All the others are no dice, I've tried with MOG Hunter, Peachround and Neon Black's pop up scripts.

so you are using YEA-Battle Engine? then there shouldn't be any problems right now...

I'm quite confused on why you are trying to test it with the different pop-up scripts... you should really only be concerned on the one ur using... anyways, this was made to only show pop-ups on YEA...

Ah right. No I just tested it with others, I'm using MOG Hunter's BS for this project.

I see... well, I'll try to look at MOG's script and see if I can do a simple patch to allow the slip pop-ups...

For passive skills, could also use NeonBlacks Passive Skills script.

Yanfly also has a very nice (and simple) passive states script.

though he wanted it to be per step... else, yeah, just use passive states... just got home and haven't have the time to seek out MOG's script yet... (it's my bonus day in dissidia too, so I'm doing some really hardcore playing)

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
