Oh, the original sprites I bought from gamedevmarket. They're by an artist called Woody, but they were medieval fantasy-themed. I had to modify them to look more sci-fi (same thing I did in Snares of Ruin to make them look more modern).

But I love doing starships as much as I am obstinate with GIANT spriting and I know it would be unfair for your illustrators and I promised to do my own letterships project. LOL

@starlight dream Maybe a good idea to start that tread for mixed resources of voyelship soon. @Matseb and actually you will have the premiums cuts with the testers. :)

Of course. Just checked. The small capsule is 231 x 87 pixels and community capsule (even smaller) is 184 x 69. The others are much bigger which shouldn't cause any scaling problems. Of course I might also have a face of one of the characters on those (kind of like how I have Alzyra on Snares of Ruin one in my sig).
But I am sure we'll be able to handle it either way. Thanks again for the awesome work. :)

@Matseb2611 Yeah, I think it is a good idea to have the face of the main character, Edan Vargas, on it.

@Marquise* : Bahaha, that's easy to misunderstand. I am not sure why they call them capsules. Maybe because they're smaller versions of the front cover / title.

The main character looks quite sci-fi to me. XD
But the robot lady is a good idea!

@Matseb2611 Believe me they are capsules, like medication, they encapsulate the very essence of what you are trying to transmit us visually. ;) At least that is the idea. Just... imagine what you could had gotten on your desk by Monday if I had nothing to do! :p

Some new screenshots of a new area in the game - a space station owned by rather strange-looking and very business-minded aliens. They don't care about becoming your best friend or taking sides in any kind of conflict. They just work all their lives and do business with anyone willing to match their offer. :p







Oh and yeah, since I haven't posted this here, this part also happens. Time to get your romantic pants on... or off rather. :p

Well, I wanted for this alien station to look a bit unusual and different to how human stations look. The original wall tile (which is from PVGames' sci-fi pack) was more light blue and I think meant more for virtual reality kind of look, but I recoloured it to look more golden yellow and then modified some other objects to also have this colour scheme (if you notice the computer screens and the like are also yellow). :)

I don't know why, but every time I see this game title I read it as Persona 5, Gone Astray, and I think "He's making a Persona 5 type game?"

In all seriousness, looks good so far. Any idea on a release date? Or too early to tell?

@bgillisp oh... there is a game named Persona 5? XD I am the one most victim of visual illusions in texts. I can understand. (Hope putting a Pegasus character in it will help. Mmmm that will be tonight's work!)

Hehe, visual illusions with names. I've heard a fair bit about these Persona games but never played any of them (am I missing out?). Maybe this visual illusion in the name will work in my favour and get people to do a double take and check the game page this way.

So far I am hoping to release it sometime in summer. Not sure of the exact month yet as things have been pretty hectic and unpredictable in real life as of late, but still making progress. Most likely will be sometime in late-ish July.

Sorry for the lack of updates or screenshots over the past couple of weeks. I've been working on act 4, and well, a lot of story-turning stuff happens, so any screenshots would've been big spoilers. But here's one from nearly the end of act 4. Act 5 is going to be pretty harrowing. I feel as though things have been escalating and becoming more dangerous with each act for the team. And act 5 will have a lot of parts in it where your choices (some in-the-moment and some from past ones) will decide if certain crewmates would live or die till the end.

Oh yeah, Edan gets really angry at this stage of the game since the villain has been taunting and humiliating him and his teammates a lot up to now. (the villain himself might not appear in the screenshots since I'd like to keep him a bit of a mystery) :p

Erm... @Matseb2611 ? Ever thought once designed if you would need some decal on your Pegasus 5 ship... like the logo? I can Photoshop it on the body paint. (gets animated spaceship design popping in head... Awwww F-Bomb! *Cybermentally fetch the heavy mallet to flatten up inflating inspiration.*)
