Hello, I was wondering if there was any way I could have a perk system in my game? I have looked at many, but most of them have the same pattern of being one where the perks are permanent. I am looking for one that is where you can learn perks like you can learn skills, and you can EQUIP them, but still take them off. I have looked into getting a script similar to Yanfly's extra equip slots, but I'm not exactly sure how I'd implement the perks into it, because I want the perks to have their own separate equip screen on the menu. My idea is basically like Tales of Symphonia's EX Skills.
I know that I'm wording this weird but I'm not really sure how else to. Please let me know if I need to elaborate more.

You'll need a script to allow for equipping of anything not in the editor.

If you want a separate equip screen, you need a script - no other way.

That said, you might want to look at the existing scripts for runes or gems as they might be similiar (and you can rename them to perks)
Because most scripters have moved on to MV, so your chances of getting a new script are low (unless you offer something in return)

I know haha... MV is very cool though so once I finish this game I do plan on buying that. But could you possibly point me to any "rune scripts"? I'm willing to check them out.

not really - about three years ago I took the time to go through all scripts on the Ace Master Script List, just to know what exists, and I remember some similiar things - but since the Ace MSL contains over 1000 scripts, there is no way to remember specific links.
If you don't have a link to the MSL itself, follow the "how to use a script" tutorial in my signature, it contains a link to it.
But if you can't find the script on that list with a fast search, you'll have to search it the hard way - it took me two or three weeks to check every link in it, that is why I know what is (or was) out there...

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
