Hello everyone!

Now, I have a bit of a problem with my music. I plan on using a song that will persist through a cutscene, and a battle without breaking. I only want it to end right after the battle (cutting out the victory fanfare as well.). While I am still learning this new system, I am not sure if it is something I can do with eventing, or if I have to code it aqll by hand.

A little help would be appreciated :D

Yep, this can be evented quite easily. Simply choose the event command Change Battle BGM and change it to None. Do the same for Change Victory ME. Whatever music is already playing will continue through the battle, and there won't be any victory fanfare to interrupt it. These commands are on Page 3 under System Settings, by the way.

Of course, after the battle, make sure to change the Battle BGM and Victory ME back to what they were.

I tried doing that. It just cuts the music out all together. I might be missing something big, becsue it has been awhile since I have plaved with eventing, so let me put up a pic here to show you what I have. (A year and a half of nothing will make you forget a lot ^^ ;)

I don't know if it'll make a difference, but don't set it to parallel process.  Put it in your cutscene, where you want the music to start.  Otherwise it's going to keep repeating over and over and over (parallel process events loop by default).

Thank you for the Parallel comment, Shaz. I am just running tests on a test map I made to get it to work before I fully implement it into my cutscene.

Whoops, my bad. Instead of changing the BGM to None, change it to the same BGM that you're already playing. The BGM should keep playing when the battle initiates without starting over. (Keep the Victory ME as None if you still wanna cut that out, though.)

Yaaay giving bad advice~

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
