I have tried and tried to use PhQuestBook..

I am confused on the difference between adding the common event

and calling THAT vs using Plugin command from an event..

basically I tried

PHQuestBook add Title_of_the_quest

and NOTHING gets added to the blank questbook every time.

can someone provide more clear instructions or a tutorial on this plugin?

Thanks...  (I already searched for this topic first and could not find anything)

I've moved this thread to JS Plugin Support. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

Please provide a link to the plugin so people know what you're talking about - we can't help you without that.

Also, no need to post the same thing multiple times. You posted in the wrong area, which happens to be a forum that requires moderator approval. If that ever happens it's probably a sign to take a good look at where you posted and see if there's a better place.

So you can SEE the quest book in the menu when you open it?

Can you please add a screenshot of the event that uses a plugin command to add the quest? I think that's probably a better way to do it than the common event.

Oh, wait a minute ... you need to have both - the common event AND the plugin to add the quest. The common event links the quest (title) with the description.

So in your common event, you would have a comment like this:

Comment: {Catch the Mouse} : Capture the mouse that has been stealing the cheeseIf you need multiple lines for the description, just give it multiple lines. If you can't fit enough lines into a single comment block, just keep going over the next comment block:
Code:
Comment: {This is my quest} : This is line 1 of my quest : This is line 2 of my quest : Now we have run out of roomComment: So we just continue the description : in the next comment
The common event needs to be called PHQuestBookThen in your event, when you want to give them that quest, you would add a Plugin command as follows:

Code:
PHQuestBook add Catch the Mouse

..of the major old school series that began in the 80s- early 90s, I still haven't beaten 'a' Zelda game. Mario 64 was the first Mario I've beaten. I don't know if I should give that honor to Link to the Past or A Link Between Worlds(I currently own both). Well technically I've haven't beaten a Sonic either (Game Genie doesn't count =P).

Time to add the "headshot" concept into the game so that people may actually aim at the heads when shooting zombies and get massive damage and armor-pen bonus as rewards. :kaojoy:
(The red area is just for visually debug purposes right now. But, it's possible that I will add something that displays the weak spots of enemies in the future.)
Worked on a cutscene skip domino effect using Maker Systems' script as the basis. Basically if I have a batch of cutscenes in a row on different maps, now when you skip one cutscene it will skip the entire set. No more spamming X to skip a scene every new map.

Oh and it will work regardless of where you do it from in the set. Convenient!
seems absolutely WILD to me now all the hundreds of hours of work I used to do in 2k(3) over a decade ago with a resolution of 320x240. that seems so insanely TINY now, seemed so normal at the time!
