So today I found out about the maps that are already in RPG Maker MV itself, so I decided to take a look.
As soon as I opened the map "Stone Cave", I saw an autotile being modified to fit next to walls:

As you can see, there's a clear difference between the way they used the autotiles on the left side and on the right side.
The way they use on the left side is pretty easy, because the autotile doesn't go underneath the wall from the A tilesheet.
However, I can't figure out how to do the way as they did it on the right side.

I can remember, in RMXP, you had a function to select which part of the autotile you wanted to use so that you could i.e. grab the tile that was fully filled with the auto tile so that you could use that one on the first layer. Although I'm not sure how to do this in MV, I don't have any experience with Ace either so I'm not sure if I'm missing anything because of that...

Anyone who knows how they managed to use the autotile in this manner?  :)

NOTE: I'm talking about this autotile specific, since it is transparent on the edges

This is a method known as shift-click mapping around here. A very useful mapping tool.

If you hold shift while placing an auto-tile, it will place a borderless piece. Also, you can right-click to select certain tiles and hold shift while placing them to copy them exactly as they are. This is especially helpful for things like carpets and cliffs and certain building designs. Well, a lot of things really.

Just be sure when you shift-right-click to have it on the pencil setting.

There is a tutorial about shift-click mapping on this forum, it shows you the different variants and possibilities about autotiles depending when and when not the shift is used.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
