So, I'm calling pictures via an Event.

I've changed the screen size from 544x416 to 640x480.

The pictures I'm calling are also 640x480

I have the (X,Y) coordinates of the pictures set to (0,0)

But I get this instead:

I was hoping someone might be able to help me get my pictures to fit the screen properly, as it seems that the event is still treating things as if it were still 544x416, despite the change.

Thanks!

Hmmm, no idea if it would work, but I wonder if you changed the zoom to more than 100%, if that would do the trick. I really have no idea though.

Can you post the picture you're using, and post a screenshot of the event that loads it?

this is one of the pictures that is supposed to load, but they are all the same size.

this is the event I'm trying to get to work.

this is it not working properly (same as the picture in my first post)

this is what it should look like after all the pictures are visible.

The idea is to make an intro where each section of the poem gradually appears.

I'm doing this by making different images appear one after the other.  I actually have a background image that followed by 6 images that each have a couple lines of text.  Each of these graphics is also 640x480 and have transparent areas both above and below the texts them as to not cover up the texts from the previous images. ...it was the easiest way I could think of to do it.

Yeah - make sure your map has enough tiles vertically and horizontally to cover the screen. One of the resolution changing scripts (can't remember which one) centers everything if your map isn't big enough to fill the window.

So my map size was indeed the problem. It had no occurred to me that I had to make the minimum map size bigger to compensate for increasing the window size.

After increasing the map size from 17x13 to 20x15, it all started working how I intended it to.

I appreciate the help!

Yup, when changing the default resolution, all your maps need to expand in size to accommodate.

Most likely Yanfly's ace.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
