Pictures are driving me crazy

Hi, good sirs. I already had some problems, some time ago, with pictures: I had to show some letters and they were never in the center of the screen. I solved by making the pictures precisely 544x416, and it actually worked.

Now I would really like to know why, with other two pictures, this method doesn't work, showing me THIS, with black bars and everything.

The only difference I can report is that the letters are activated by a common event, while the other two pictures by normal events.

Please, help! ;A;

is this an event that you are using and if so are you using the show picture event command? just re-read what you asked, completely missed where you say its activated by a normal event.

could you post a screenshot of your event command list for the pictures you are having issues with?

It's possible you set it as Top Left or Center coordinates that the original 544x416 doesn't work.
You might want to use this too for future Pictures ;D

Top Left and Center translate coordinates differently. 


Top Left means the coordinates 0,0 are on the top left.


And well, the center one is obvious.


The program I just linked allows you to set pictures on where ever you want via drag and drop at 544x416 or 640x480 resolution and get the coordinates.That way you won't have a picture placement problem ever again.

This is pretty hard to answer. I use Graphics Gale? hahaha

where it says Upper Left (13,10) try changing those to 10,10 or 0,0

Thanks to you both, but I actually solved it by putting 0,0 coordinates, as 11thHourGames suggested! *^* And I will use Archeia's program for sure, in the future!
