NOTE: This series is being developed and improved for a commercial release, so these free versions are no longer available. Many thanks to everyone who commented on this project! If you're one of those people, send me a message and I'll reserve you a Steam copy of the games when they come out.

Captain Gail Pilgrim has been flying starships since she was a kid, ferrying passengers between planets and space stations across the galaxy. She has no reason to expect that this latest trip to Alpha Centauri will be anything special, even if her passengers are a little more diverse than usual: a fusion scientist, a retired space marine and a priest.

However, it turns out to be far from a routine interstellar voyage …

Following Gail’s adventures across this four-episode space saga will take you to space stations, colonies, cities and islands across an immersive and intricate futuristic universe. You’ll meet many fascinating individuals, solve puzzles and become engaged in an epic science fiction narrative.

The main selling points of this saga are the story, the characters and the universe. I was learning to use the RPG Maker program as I made these games, which means they become increasingly open and ambitious as the series goes on. The games have been made in the style of the traditional point-and-click adventure games of the nineties, so there is a focus on narrative, exploration and puzzle-solving. The first episode is quite short and you can probably complete it in an hour or two.

I've already finished it and I want more. ;-;

My only gripe are the generator faces, but that's just generally something I hate. (Also that bones reference THANK YOU)

I loved it!

Definitely gives an Alien/Sunshine vibe with the industrial space setting. Sets itself quickly apart with good characters. I enjoyed that the captain is this bubbly, optimistic character despite grimly serious surroundings. You kind of expect a Ripley and end up with a much friendlier protagonist. The humor was well done, I thought.

From a story perspective, it's very episodic right now. There are two separate adventures to part 1 that at the end feel very much completed. I felt very satisfied, but intrigued enough to see where you take it next. Curious to see if there's a larger arc story-wise. If there isn't, that's cool too. The relationships that are building between your three main characters is interesting enough to watch that I'm excited to see how they work together in the long run.

Kudos on including mouse AND controller support. It's cool to see people use the mouse for that point and click feel but preferring controllers myself, I'm glad you kept that option. (I guess I'm not sure controllers can be turned off at all.)

I'm pretty new to RPG Maker as well so I'm not seeing anything else I would critique really so I'll just say this is awesome and I'm excited for part 2!

Thanks for that very insightful and thoughtful review! It's much appreciated.

Without giving too much away, there is indeed a larger story arc in the subsequent episodes and the events of Episode I will eventually return to haunt these characters.

Started playing the game and just completed act 1. Enjoying it so far. Good plot and simple yet logical puzzles. The characters are starting to get interesting too.

I do agree with NPC though that generator faces don't quite do the game justice. And also the default menu sound fx. Other than that, the game is fun so far.

If I could digital art, I would love to draw some things in support of te project, but man is it something I don't have the time or liberty to learn.

I've just completed it and found it really fun. Good pacing and story, and well developed characters. Sabina White is my favourite at the moment, since her sarcastic remarks about everything are hilarious. Also really loved those two droids on the mining station. I'm going to download part 2 now. I see it's already out.

Great game. Has my recommendation.

Sadly I'm not much of an artist or I might have done something different with the faces. A good face generator is quite hard to find, it seems.

Anyway, I'm glad you found it fun! Sabina is definitely a lot of fun to write.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
