NOTE: This series is being developed and improved for a commercial release, so these free versions are no longer available. Many thanks to everyone who commented on this project! If you're one of those people, send me a message and I'll reserve you a Steam copy of the games when they come out.

One year after the events of Episode I, Captain Pilgrim is once again carrying a shipload of passengers between star systems. This time her guests include a mysterious priestess, a wayward youth and a robotics genius.

Little does she know that this latest journey will set her off on another hazardous adventure, involving a shadowy government organisation known as the Jackals ...

Episode II is where this saga really gets going. Several new and important characters are introduced, and many more elements of the Pilgrim universe and its history are revealed. Similar in style to the first episode, this one is slightly more in depth and will probably take two or three hours to play through.

(Yay, my first post!) Nice so far, and I played the first episode to catch up. Great story-driven game, and the puzzles were fantastic, especially the ones in latter part of the game. I do agree with the other's on the previous topic: either get an artist, or do some art yourself for character profiles, since this is the only major area that does need some improvement.

I only came across one error. When trying to grab the spoon with the keyboard (Enter), I was unable to grab it and ended up talking to Lucas instead. I had to use my mouse for only that section (I felt it was faster for me to go through the game than the mouse, since it has Shift to run, and one puzzle performs better on keyboard than mouse), but I found no more problems!

One nitpick: assembling requires to open the menu, go down to joining, join said items together, and then it closes all windows, which is a hassle to go back and do the entire process again. The game works perfectly fine, but if you can add in a script so that way the window wouldn't close every time I finished combining, I would like it a lot.

RMMV
I've just completed this episode as well and thought it was even better than the first. I really like how you've developed the stories of the new characters, getting to see Emet's side of the story and all. Every character was memorable in some way. Great job. Looking forward to episode 3. :D

Thanks for your comments! I've fixed the bug with the spoon (insert Matrix gag here) and updated the download link. Just one of those wonderful things that happens when integrating mouse support. I'll see what I can do about improving the combine menu in the later episodes.

Glad you enjoyed this episode! Episode III should be up some time next week.

Leila's locker is a red herring. You only need to access the one next to it (Jiminez's).

That was fun! Thanks.

It had a interesting story and I really liked the humour and the way you bothered to give pretty much every object a description.  It makes searching far  more enjoyable.

It did take me a while to figure out that items could be combined, but I got there eventually!

I'll have to find episode I.

If it was possible to avoid all three droids, I failed to do so.

I noticed what I think are a couple of very, very small typos, just in case you want to have a look at them, both in Act III.

When Emet talks to Leila, "Investigate Past", Leila she says "I was put to work to when I was fourteen". The second "to" was probably meant to be "too"?

Later, the Commander says: "So, Droid, it seems you have proven today that perhaps you can be worthy soldier for our cause after all."  Probably missing an "a" after "be"?

I look forward to episode III.

Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the typo reports, I'll get those corrected for the next version.

The ability to combine items is mentioned at the start of Episode I, so it's better to play them in order. Episode I should be interesting for you now, though, as it tells the story of how Gail and Sabina first met.

It is possible to dodge all three droids, but it can take a number of attempts as they move in quite a random way.

This should definitely tide me over until Firefly Season Two. ;)

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
