Yep, it did. Regaining my rankings was not happening, however. I guess I need more coffee.

Lol yea, gaining a ranking will only get harder as more people play as well.
It really amuses me that everyone is getting beat by a monkey though.. He's making you guys look like newbs  :D

Hey, if I were to make some new graphics and such, would it be possible to implement a theme feature where players can change their game theme and have everything look different? Nothing game changing, just aesthetics.

It would be very very possible yes. :)

I am currently trying to figure out why its not overwriting the RGSS301.dll in the latest patch - I think its because of where the game has been saved (in the programs x86 folder) Really annoying though... :p

Oh yea dude, "DLC" is 100% possible. ;)

Sigh... I'm gonna have to release a new version with the new  RGSS.dll in it.

There is no way for me to patch the RGSS.dll while the game is using it... Sigh...

Aww well.. higher res will be updated shortly i guess :D

I just released the new download and it can be found @ http://dekyde.com/ping.html.

Alternatively - if you dont wish to redownload the game - your game will automatically download the relevant patch, but it wont be able to enter fullscreen mode properly and things will likely show up funny. If you download the new RGSS301.dll, found @ http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/31953-high-res-rpg-maker-project/ and then replace the RGSS301.dll within the games System folder, it will function normally. .

Trust me, its probably easier for you to just redownload the game to get the new BIG SCREEN RESOLUTION!!!

Well I signed my soul as well ;)

I played through Classic and Normal Modes (I haven't tried hard yet). And they all work great. Normal didn't feel different at all, but Classic mode might now be easier for people to get use to since it has more space, but I notice it would be much harder to beat the top scores unless the movements get tweaked a little bit.

Like before I could get a string of upper 30 hits before either me or the PC would miss. Now I have a hard time getting 10+ hits in a row before the PC looses. Which you would think would mean you're racking up points, but the the play field is so much larger without a boost to the movement of the ball or the player so takes longer to do everything. Hope that's clear enough.. sounds confusing when I'm typing it.

It's nothing that breaks the game or makes it less fun, it's just a difference ;)

V 2.0.4 Patch has justbeen released - your game will auto instal it next time you play..

This patch hopes to increase levels of 'fun' with the new screen size.

I have changed the width and height of each players 'pinger' and changed the speed settings for player, AI and also for the ball. Also made the 'field' size a little larger. :)

That should address any loss of fun increasing the screen size has caused :D

Yes, I finally have ranking spots again! But I see mlogan is playing too so I might not for long lol

Yeah it's a lot more fun now. I played Classic first and saw the first movement on the ball and was like... "ut oh" but it's really a good speed. I just wasn't use to it going that fast. I can finally score on the other difficulties. It's not always easy, but I don't feel like it's just a match of who can hit the ball the most =P

And on Hard difficulty (I like the settings, it should be hard).. but I feel like a goaly that's doing the whole "I got it! I got it!" and then miss the catch by a bit ;)

Lol, Venka, I would be too worried yet. Though I think I've figured out how to score on purpose - now implementing it is not always successful, lol.

Yea, the pinger on hard mode feels tiny i think.
And personally, I'm not keen on the new height of the pingers, but I had to implement it or the 'ball' would occasionally go right through them :D

But yea, overall it seems quite a bit more fun :)

I can give you guys some tips on scoring if you wish? ;)

Yeah I've noticed you can kind of "Spike" the ball if you move fast one way or the other when the ball hits the paddle. I know it's a pc.. but I'll do a few hits in one area then make the ball go to the other side of the screen and can usually score that way

Well, by holding the up arrow key when hitting the ball, you can manipulate the enemy AI a lot easier.

Also getting the enemy onto one side and then hitting that the ball INTO the wall at that side will make it angle much much more, allowing you to reach the opposite corner very quickly.

Also - shift kinda impacts the angle at which the ball move when hit. As does the direction you are moving. So if you are moving left, the ball will likely move left when hit, if you hold shift too, it will have a 'heavier' angle.

Yeah I use walls a LOT and the shift key. I tried playing with the up key some but it didn't seem as effective

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
