Hello,

I'm not even sure I'm "wording" this right, but I've been watching videos on how to create parallax maps in Photoshop. In the videos, when the user zooms in on their map, the pixels look the same, however, when I zoom in in Photoshop the pixels looks overblown and not attractive. How do you make the map image look the same when you zoom in?

Thanks!

Could you do a screencap of what it looks like for you?

It could just be me, but I think the picture looks distorted. Hope this helps!

With the RM stock graphics they are not done with traditional pixel art techniques. They are generally closer to paintings that fit in a pixel art sized environment. With the technique used graphics are made to look crisp and clean from a distance but on a closer inspection you will find that things aren't as crisp as they may seem from a distance.

Just to be sure I would grab so traditional pixel art style graphics (bound to be some in the resources section of these forums) and zoom in on them and see if things still get "blurry", if they do you will have to look into how your photoshops' settings are setup (most noteably the 'view' settings).

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
