This is making my head hurt >_< I have purchased every version and was surprised to see it on Steam and no where else, not to mention no offers to upgrade, then the complaints of it not working. Why on earth not use the same publisher? If its not here, I'm not buying it anyway. This is just my opinion, but to me its extremely important to be able to come here and get help from others who have more experience with an RPG maker product. Because its not here, and because the advertising from what I have seen is nothing but what Steam suggests, the only ones who have bought it are from Steam, and by the reviews, very inexperienced. This means that very few people with experience bought it and the forum for it is filled with people learning the product for the first time. Ill stick with what I bought from here for now and just keep buying the graphic and sound packs that appeal to me as they come out. There was a special character generator advertised a year ago on this website I wanted to buy, but came with a subscription only I believe, and since the one they sold here got canceled and one on Steam got huge negative reviews (Not the character generator, the subscription) I missed out on being able to buy it. When it comes to RPG maker adons, I prefer the stand alone ones, and if they come with a key for Steam, the better. Reason I HATE using the steam version is because when I'm working on something, I like running multiple instances so if one fails it wont mess up what I'm working on. But worse is using a program related to the rpg maker which prevents RPG maker from loading while the separate program is loaded. Yeah, it gets annoying having to copy updates over manually, but least I have a LOT of breathing room. If they ever decide to sell here, Ill buy. I prefer buying from experienced game maker sellers. Just because another company sold a lot of games, doesn't mean selling one of your products is going to make it good. Its the people here and their feedback that make the product great as it is today.
