Oh, woweeee! No links to where to buy Pixel Myth though? o_o

For favorite RPG hero... Probably Final Fantasy 9's... Yes, I hear you all groan, but this was basically my favourite RPG of all-time for many reasons... :p ... Zidane. He brought comic relief to a game that grew quickly serious in its second half, and his double-acts with Steiner were hilarious in the first half. Often, if a game includes comedy, that typically is enough for some gamers to continue playing a game even if it has the occasional boring section.

EDIT: NVM, the link is in the name of the product XD

EDIT 2: Am I right in guessing this goes well with some RMDS tiles?

The Pixel Myth resources are beautiful. Unfortunately, I really can't use them; though I might be able to use the odd one or two things in my current project. I've been looking forward to the character themes pack for a while now. I'm glad it's finally here.

My favorite RPG hero has always been Alys from Phantasy Star IV. I was so disappointed that she isn't in your party for most of the game because she taught me from a young age that ladies in video games can be badass. In fact, my character Mahkia (seen in my avatar) is based on her character, and I try to include subtle nods to Alys whenever I can.

Slightly different colors, I believe, but very similar style. I think you could make them work together.

Sharm is also working on lots of extra goodies that will match the style, so stay tuned. :)

Slightly different colours shouldn't be a problem, just a tint or adjustment in Photoshop should fix that :)

But that's sweet. I still like how it looks. Might get it. Just need to finish this contest game first!!

There are some incompatibilities with scale since Pixel Myth is made for tall sprites and the DS sprites are so very short but there are still quite a few things that you could use together like most of the A tiles and some of the plants. The DS tiles use a lot more colors though so that could possibly be jarring in some cases.

Would a viable solution be to lower saturation or adjust the contrast in some places? (bit tired, so bear with me here! XD)

Those pixel resources are really awesome Sharm. It amazes me how crazy talented people are here.

My favorite RPG hero would have to be Maxim from Lufia II. He was pretty badass, but I think the fact that he chose to stay with Selan in the end really hit me in the feels.

NICE!!! Another contest to participate in, I hope ill win something this time :)

My Favorite RPG Hero is:

I Loved Legend of Dragoon. I loved his character because as a younger man I always wanted to be a hero that would put justice before anything else. I mean this guy is the classic hero that leaves nobody behind. When Shana was kidnapped he went straight into an enemy prison in order to save his childhood friend, even if the Prison was full of enemies!

Kudos to JStewart and Kairi Sawler, and Congratulations, Sharm! This is gorgeous work. From the screenshots, I am already loving the street tiles, cliffs and house roofs. This must have taken ages.

My favourite RPG hero is the Nameless One from Planescape: Torment. Why? Because in my playthrough he takes responsibility for all the mess he created and for all the people he destroyed in his past lives. It is heartbreaking to see what ruin my character created, and absolutely uplifting when one way or another, you release these people from their torment. And then there's that endgame cutscene where the Nameless One walks alone into the middle of a vicious war. How badass is that?

Well sweet Mother Teresa on the hood of a Mercedes Benz! These are flippin' GORGEOUS! And German! I love German architect! Sharm, you have outdone yourself milady.

My favorite RPG hero would have to be Neku from The World Ends With You. As a teenager, I was a real adorable person. You know all those stereotypes of emo kids who listen to Punk Rock, wear weird cloths, and are constantly whining? Yeah, that was me. I had a real grudge against the world and I didn't give a damn about anything. But then I played TWEWY. And everything I saw in Neku, I saw in myself. It was the first time I was really able to identify with a fictional character. As the game went on and Neku started to grow as a person, I did too. By the end of the game I saw life in a whole new light. From that day on, I decided to become a new person and now I'm the fun-loving awesome guy that you know today.

Awesome tracks! And Sharm's work, wow! Oh gosh the pixels of that woman are so perfect, my eyes are pleased here...ahah

My favourite Rpg Hero:

Fei Fong Wong - Xenogears

He's initially introduced as a clichè and boring character but...his figure will evolve gradually during the game, making him awesome later.

I like him because he's a lot different than most of the usual Rpg Heroes.

He has a psychological depth that I rarely found in any other character, plus he doesn't really have the hero attitude at all...he has many issues\doubts and suffers from multiple personality disorder.

I was so immersed into his monologues\flashbacks during the game, it felt like I was hearing a story told by a real person, a story I could even relate myself into (in some way).

That's why he's my favourite, I really cared about him because he's "human and believable".

I'll be honest here, I always feel the same emotions everytime I play the game again...this is a clear sign of good character development and full immersion, ahahah.

Looking gorgeous! I'll have to wait until I get home to check out the second and third offerings.

Pixel Myth is in VX Ace format? Would the style match the XP RTP?

Hotfirelegend: Just for you I pulled up the XP and DS resources and tried them out with my tiles to see what would be involved in making them work together. If you increase the saturation a little, shift the hue slightly, up the contrast and lower the brightness by a lot then it will work for some of them but sadly with others there's just too much of an artistic style difference. The things with lower color counts and no dithering work the best. XP is going to be better for finding items that work because the scale is similar.

Aww, thanks :3

Sounds like they're very different then anyway! Probably best used on separate maps that require their own atmosphere then, though there's always the possibility of clashes with larger sprites. I'll have a fiddle once I purchase them after the IGMC, and with XP too. :)

I am generally indecisive when it comes to favorite...anything.

If you go by how many times I have played through it then FFTactics has to be my favorite RPG. I think I have to go with Mustadio.

That tileset looks very nice, what grabs my eyes are the roof tiles, they look very nice.

Fantastic Work Sharm!  I was heavily anticipating this and will be buying it first thing when I get home.

For my favorite hero, allow me to break the status quo:

She's amazing,  Lenneth Valkyrie.  She turned an average rpg into a thrilling romance, a simple crafting engine into a fight to break free from control, and a 'save the world' into a save the ones you love.  When it came down it the elements of her game really spoke to me in the guise of her leadership and mercy as the chooser of the slain more so than her other two sisters.

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
