In the Editor all Map Tiles look a little Pixelated, when i start the Testgame they look normal.
In the New Data Folder they also look normal.
This was different in RPG Maker MV, so iam wondering if this is a Bug or if it is normal that the MZ Editor is showing them Pixelated. Steam MZ [v1.3.3] but it seems to be the same with the initial Version.

Does someone know more about this? Iam just curious.

I don't think I've had this issue. I don't know if it will help or not, but the first thing I could recommend would be updating to the latest version of MZ. The latest stable version is 1.5.0, and the latest beta is 1.6.0, so why are you using 1.3.3?

I had a similar problem - there's a thread I created about it here.

It looks as if we just have to live with it. Maybe the 1.6 version that Arthran mentioned will have it fixed. Or maybe not.

I can life with this if it is the same for everyone, mostly iam just curious.
Maybe it is something on my end?

Edit: First i thought the MZ RTP has this new look which is shown in the Editor, than i was relieved
as it looked normal in Testplay.

Open Beta is the newest one. 1.3.3 is very old (from over a year ago). I haven't actually used the RTP tiles in so long that I'm not quite sure, so I'll have to double check and see what mine looks like later, but I think that maybe what you're seeing is simply the blur that Pixi is applying to everything in-game, whereas the map in the editor is likely pixel-perfect.

It's normal for tiles to look a little wonky in the tile pallet to the left, since those are scaled down a bit.

ok thank you but i allready got confused again.

In steam i can choose open beta or the 1.33v

if i use the editor to upgrade corescript, iget much more versions to choose from. 1.4 1.5 and open beta.
Does it make a difference where i update this? or can it cause bugs if i first use one to make 1.3.3 in steam and than 1.5 in the editor...? I dont want to plant errors for later... or are both 2 different things?

The thing in Steam is the version of the RPG Maker software that is installed on your computer. The thing in the editor is for updating the version of the corescript in that specific project. You should update both of them to the latest version.

Personally, I don't use any betas--I just use the latest stable version (1.5). But if you're going to use a beta version, make sure it's the open beta, so you have the newest one. 1.3.3 is a downgrade, as it's even older than the latest stable version.

I cant upgrade the Steam Version to 1.5 it doesnt have that option, sadly i cant take a picture of the selection. I read the same articles, thats why my worries about this grew stronger.
So i will keep it 1.0 Version and update the Game Project to 1.5. ???
Or am i missing on some Bugfixes and features thatway?

I allready verified Game Data twice, restarted the PC but the Option for 1.5 does not pop up in steam, only up to 1.3.3.
In the Editor its nearly a dozen of Versions more to choose from. Sorry my English aint good enough to explain it better. Please help, what should i do?

Something isn't right here. Steam should have the 1.5.0 version up and running. Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling MZ yet?

To use the current version (1.5.0), select None on the betas tab, i.e. opt out of all betas.

If you update the editor, it's a good idea to use the Update Corescript option to update your project to the editor's new version. Otherwise your project will not benefit from any core script changes, including bug fixes.

I thought it was just my eyes until Kes pointed it out in their thread. I'm still not sure what causes the problem: the in-game Tilemap uses nearest-neighbour scaling, so presumably the editor is doing something different.

Thank you for the answer. So i had the newest stable version and started this problem myself. LOL, thank you for helping me finding that out. LOL
I upgraded Steam to Beta Version and the Project to 1.6. Now both run the same.
If i encounter any Errors, i will downgrade to stable 1.5. Since now i know its the standard one XD.

For now, i can life with the Editor thingy.
