play ME for title music instead of BGM?

is there a way to play an ME for the title music instead of a BGM?
i dont want the song to loop for the title

Move your ME audio to the BGM folder and that should work.

im looking to be able to play a song from the ME folder instead of a BGM file

Search in Scene_Title for $game_system.bgm_play($data_system.title_bgm) (line 61 for me). Delete it or comment it out (with # so the code changes its color to green). Then add $game_system.me_play('TitleME') after the line containing Audio.me_stop (line 63). I don't know at the moment if stopping is neccessary or this line can also be deleted. Anyway the pink text between the two apostrophes is the base name of the file in the Audio/ME folder.

XP's default scripts are written very badly.

Sorry. It apparently has to be: $game_system.me_play(RPG::AudioFile.new('TitleME')).
