So I am guessing this is born of JRPG's or something else not in my passion/background... but are the player characters being on the right during combat fairly comfortable/normal?
It only recently started bothering me when I was creating my own sprites and realized all of the right handed weapon attacks are visually hindered. Also wondered if my reaction has to do with the old westerner in me (reading left to right, I keep wanting the important stuff (my guys) to lead) and some of the other "separate screen for combat" games I've played (e.g. WD: Road to Survival, Darkest Dungeon, Derelict, etc), but I think I am starting to lean... >gulp<... left.
Anyone ever mess with altering the stock layout?
