This is a modified version of MogHunter's Character Select screen. It allows you to choose between different players.



Download

Get it at Hime Works!

Installation

Place this script below Player Manager and above Main.

Add the required resources into a folder called "Player_Select" in your Graphics/System folder

Usage

To enter the player select screen, make a script call

Would there be a way to replace the actors with the new ones, as in, with text calling on \N[1], would it say whoever the new character is rather than just who the first actor was, originally? Also, any possible way to have this appear four times at the beginning of a new game, before anything else happens?

If I'm a little incoherant, it's 'cause I'm tired, right now... heh.

No, you should use a script that will provide party-based message codes. I don't know if yanfly's supports party-based names:

Just have an auto-run event.

Yes, there are several ways to create an actor for the player with eventing or with scripting. Just search for character creation in the forum.

And if you're unsure how to use autorun-events (or parallel process events or some of the other options), then you should look for some tutorials, because autoruns are essential for several parts of a game (like cutscenes).

Ah, thing is, I've created most of the characters... just having trouble with the selection of a starting class... you know, as in, from FF legend 2 where you could choose between a human character, a robot, an esper (called mutant in that game for some reason), or a monster... you'd have several choices for the monsters, as well.

just trying to recreate that and see if it is at all possible with this, is all.

Judging by your screenshot, It doesn't really look like you changed much of anything.


Mine on the other hand was heavily modified.

So, I'm guessing this is a 'No, look for some other script, you n00b', then? Alright, I'll keep looking.

It's still a nice little bit of script, even if it's not entirely yours.
