Player Turns Transparent Upon Entering a Map

In RPG Maker VX Ace, when the player character gets transferred to another map via an event, it goes into transparency.

I have Transparent ON unchecked in the system menu in the database, and my two events for the stairs to get transferred to and form the maps only have a transfer player on them. Am I supposed to have something else on them?

That shouldn't be happening, perhaps you have a common event doing it or you're using a script that might be doing it?

It's not a common event. I don't think it's be a script. If it is, I'm not sure which one it'd be. What I'm trying to figure out is how to fix it. I've tried setting the transparency off in one of the transfer player events and that didn't work. I even added self switches. That didn't work either. For some reason the player character sprites just disappear when I enter that one map. Yes, I have followers set to on. That shouldn't be the problem though.

You've either got an event that's becoming active when the player goes to the new map (a common event or an event on the new map) that is setting the player to be transparent, or all the tiles in the new map have a star passage setting which makes the tiles appear over the players. I doubt the second option very much, so I'm going with Zoltor on the event approach.


Look through common events AND events on the new map, for something that changes the player's transparency.


It could also be a Set Move Route that either changes the player's opacity to 0, or sets the player sprite to "None". This will still be contained in an event though.

I checked the events on the map again and overlooked one of the events I had that I accidentally put a Transparency ON in.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
