Playtest no longer working.

Hi y'all, I hadn't used RPG Maker MV in about a month and a half. Recently I upgraded my GPU and PSU, which involved installing new drivers.

Yesterday I wasn't able to open up RPG Maker MV from Steam at all. Today, I opened my game in my files - it opened. Now, I am able to launch from Steam as well. Weird. Nonetheless, I thought everything was fine. Until I tried playtesting. Which doesn't work.

This applies to new projects as well. The playtest button doesn't work. I tried reinstalling MV but the issue persists.

I'm not sure what happened. My project file is the same version as my editor file. Yes, I downloaded a new NW.JS a while back and I still get that error popup whenever I playtest, but it has never caused any issues. Could this be related to downloading new drivers? I vaguely remember having this problem in the past and resolving it... I'd like to be able to playtest my game.

When I click on the index HTML in my game files I get error codes. With my main project, a bunch of different ones. With any new project it says failed to load: data/Actors.json

Any help would be massively appreciated.

It may be to do with Steam. I use Linux Ubuntu, so have to use Steam to run MV. My laptop is only 4 Meg RAM, but I usually manage to have Open Office word-processor, Firefox, and a text editor open at the same time. For the last few days MV hasn't opened when I had Firefox and the rest opened. When I do get it open (with less other programs usual) it often just exits MV when I play-test.

MV hasn't changed for a while. Ubuntu didn't upgrade just before this happened, but Steam always seems to waste time updating itself before it runs MV.

The only suggestion I have is to reduce the number of other programs running at the same time.
