Playtest not starting

Please help! Today when I started RPG Maker MV Kaspersky deleted it. When I reinstalled it and put it on the trustworthy list the program itself worked but I can't playtest anymore. It just doesn't even start.


Yesterday everything worked fine.

what happens when you try to playtest?


what happens if you play the project directly by opening the index.html with a browser?


What happens if you create a new project now and try to playtest that?


Best guess is that the AV not only deleted the editor, but also some of the project files...

If project files were deleted, you'd at least get an error when trying to play (and the editor might not open either).


Try rebooting your computer.


I know if I have one play test going, I can't get a second one to run, even for a different game.  I wonder if it thinks there is one still running - maybe look in task manager at active processes and see if there's an MV playtest running and kill it.  But I'd try rebooting first.

Thank's for the fast responses. Fortunately I could solve the problem already.


I noticed when I reinstalled RPG Maker via Steam it installed it to my C: Drive instead of the D: Drive where it was located before.


When I reinstalled again on the D: Drive it worked. 


So I guess it was some Windows10 administrator rights issue or whatever.
