SpyroFan67, please avoid double posting, as it is against the forum rules. You can use the "Edit" function on your posts to add additional information you've forgotten or respond to multiple people. You can review our forum rules here. Thank you.

You can also post the other images as comments to the profile post.
I really need to stop doing that. Will there be a punishment if I do it too many times? I'm scared.

Also any way to erase double posts so I don't annoy everyone on here?

Instead of being scared, why don't you just click Reply to everyone you want to respond to before you type things and click Post?

That's a fine idea!

See? Easy.
Ok then. I'll do that. I'm sure if I do that this'll never happen again.

I mean, no one's ever been banned for it or anything. I can't even ever recall suspending someone for it. Warning points. Yeah? Those can happen. As far as "forum crimes" go that's like...iunno, double parking your car?

The rules aren't made to scare people (except maybe people who pirate RPG Maker or people who are exceptionally mean). But, you do gotta take a look to see who posted in the thread last. If it's you, edit what you just posted.

Try a sticky note or some other visual cue if you need one. Honestly, if I didn't have some sort of system I'd probably accidentally poison myself with my own medication at least once a week.

What happens is that many people, including our scared dragon, ignore how to use the +Quote button they see on every single post already published on the board.

Just keep clicking on all of those posts you wanna quote and then after clicking on the last one, hit the (arrow) reply button. Not the Post Reply button but the (arrow) Reply one. Then on a new box you'll see all of your quotes being included by default.

@SpyroFan67 if you keep double posting I am going to give you a 3 day suspension. Seriously. You have been told enough times to stop it. Slow down and think before you post.

Why don't you just make a thread in General Lounge instead of using the status feed all the time?

@coyotecraft, if you have an issue with moderators, please follow the instructions listed in the rules section. Otherwise, keep your comments to yourself. We've given you a lot of leeway, but you've been skating on thin ice for too long now.

If you hate this forum and the moderators so much, feel free to leave. Or continue with your little jabs and wait for us to kick you out.

@coyotecraft I think you'd better listen to him! In the meantime, I'll make sure I don't double-post again and annoy everyone on this site even more.

Don't think I haven't,Shaz. This is site feedback, you're open to criticism as much as I am. You can sweep it under the rug like you always do. But your not allowed to mop the floor with people because you tattooed your badge to your skin and take everything personally.

Your moderator status has nothing to do with it. I'll call out people in RM support for thinking the same way. It's like. You're not helping. All you're doing is reframing their problem by making them the problem. All I did was catch it and throw it back in your face.

You have ZERO intention of tackling this problem.

The fact is, you do this in almost every feedback thread. You'll voice opinions on everyone else's idea. But nobody is allowed to voice their opinion of yours? Pretending your user-group elevates you.
If you don't like change, you can walk away.
You shut people down. You ask them to leave. You complain about your mod duties constantly. But you don't do anything about it. You're disrespectful and disengaged.

@SpyroFan67, they are entitled bullies. They've have always seen themselves as gatekeepers and validators. They're not. You're not the first person to complain about the character limit. Shaz is infamous for enforcing the "don't double post" rule; which is antiquated by the forum software and has proven to be more disruptive than the actually act of double posting.
Because Shaz is a global moderator, I encourage you to voice your grievance to the Administrators. I could just tell you what they told me. But maybe they've finally changed their tune along with their clients.

They do have a point though. I do not side with mods just because they are mods, but your general animus towards this forum in nearly every post really shows.

Its hard for them to not take it personal when you attempt to make every response to things about them... YOU add the personal touch to it and then attempt to "call them out on it" when it came from you in the first place.

@Shaz does their mod job admirably... I would have done lost my cool dealing with people like you.
I have very to little patience for people with poor attitudes, such as yourself, who only come around to keep stirring the pot hoping to get a rise out of people.

You have ZERO intention of tackling this problem.
I have a feeling it wont be much longer and the so-called problem will be gone.
Don't let the door smack yer arse too hard on the way out when the time comes.

I invoke the name of @Touchfuzzy to make a call on this guy once and for all. I am sure I am not the only one.

Yes, in site feedback. Maybe I'll make a seperate thread to talk about people who don't want to participate in site discussion but focus on member "attitudes".

I could make the text as long as I wanted, provided that the picture fits within the box and the URL is less than 420 characters.

(just saying that it's not forbidden, or considered.... not saying that I will..... or, will I? 0õ)

Mods cannot change anything about the forum software which is why I wanted to offer some possibly more immediate work arounds. But, y’know?

I kinda do think it’s a little lame picture uploads take characters. Iunno @Enbara @Tea++ is there any insight you might be able to give inquiring minds?

Furthermore,

If @Touchfuzzy or any of the admins thinks I’ve even close to bullying over the 8 years I’ve been a moderator, I give them permission to ban my account right now. Permanently.

@Ms Littlefish, Why the ultimatum? Is being a basic member such a dealbreaker?
If it's your way or the highway. Take my suggestion seriously and close Site Feedback.

Reply to original post: I would suggest using a url shortener to help with it to a degree. It won't reduce it to nothing, but you can get more links into 420 characters with that. (This does not work with twitter, as twitter counts all links as the same number of characters, but it does, iirc work on this site's status updates)

Reply to stuff about double posting: It's an easy rule to follow. If you need to edit a post to add more, that is fine. I'd also be open to changing the rule, BUT the problem with that is that it exists for a reason. It's intended to prevent the long string of 1 person responding to 8 people in 8 posts, or typing 8 posts as they think up new things. Or constantly bumping a topic to top. If we changed it, there would still be some kind of restrictions on just constantly posting in the threads. That said, it is the rule NOW and it is frustrating for mods for a single user to constantly break it over and over. Especially in the same thread they were just warned for it in.

Reply to coyote: Dude, it ain't that serious. Everyone here is just trying to have a good time, and the moderators are no different. The moderators are volunteers and I'm never going to ask all of them to be perfect at all times, and even then, I have not seen any of them acting with the vindictiveness you seem to be attributing to them. Just because we don't take your advice doesn't mean that we are mean and nasty. We just don't agree. But not agreeing with you apparently turns into personal attacks. Knock it off (the personal attacks, you can still critique specific rules or things you would like to see changed), or you will be permanently removed from the forum.

I'm here going to explain why directly uploading a picture in your post or profile post count as a character limit. For example, this one.

This looks fine and shouldn't count as a character limit, but if you try to peek at the BBCode editor from here.

Yeah this is why I suggest using something like imgur which can create a gallery of photos if you want to show more than one, and then just link the gallery link.

Okay, that is the last from me for a while, back to stupid work. Eugh!
I made a new little movie for my game, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't fit the family friendly rules here. I put it up on my youtube channel though.

Main theme for a Start/Continue/Options screen after Title card
28 notifications, and like 30 emails. And I was only gone for six hours. Yeah, I think I'm done for the day.
Also, I think I have a not secret admirer. Hooray...
Working on a battle cutscene, needs some polishing, but I'm liking the result:
