Reply to original post: I would suggest using a url shortener to help with it to a degree. It won't reduce it to nothing, but you can get more links into 420 characters with that. (This does not work with twitter, as twitter counts all links as the same number of characters, but it does, iirc work on this site's status updates)
Reply to stuff about double posting: It's an easy rule to follow. If you need to edit a post to add more, that is fine. I'd also be open to changing the rule, BUT the problem with that is that it exists for a reason. It's intended to prevent the long string of 1 person responding to 8 people in 8 posts, or typing 8 posts as they think up new things. Or constantly bumping a topic to top. If we changed it, there would still be some kind of restrictions on just constantly posting in the threads. That said, it is the rule NOW and it is frustrating for mods for a single user to constantly break it over and over. Especially in the same thread they were just warned for it in.
Reply to coyote: Dude, it ain't that serious. Everyone here is just trying to have a good time, and the moderators are no different. The moderators are volunteers and I'm never going to ask all of them to be perfect at all times, and even then, I have not seen any of them acting with the vindictiveness you seem to be attributing to them. Just because we don't take your advice doesn't mean that we are mean and nasty. We just don't agree. But not agreeing with you apparently turns into personal attacks. Knock it off (the personal attacks, you can still critique specific rules or things you would like to see changed), or you will be permanently removed from the forum.
