I purchased rpg maker mv from steam I have 117 hours logged in I have my game going great but I've been dealing with my editor crashing constantly just freezes goes to brief white screen then crashes. It is starting to happen more frequently. Test play and game plays fine. I've looked it up and found a few things but none of them have helped tried verifying files reinstalling making sure my antivirus isn't stopping it I don't know what to do please help me. I hope these screen shots help. I am using version 1.62 on steam

if you google it, alot of ppl had to deal with it.
its either you import teh bundle wrong or the filesave is placed incorrect from where you project is or was
in case you moved it to a different directory.

@jeremaih
please give us a screenshot of the console with the full details of that error message, you unfortunately skipped important details in your text-copy.
we also need the full filepath where your project is stored (from drive letter to index.html, something like c:\folder1\folder2\projectfolder\index.html).
that is because as said above most likely something went wrong with your projects directory structure and we need that info to find out what went wrong and how you can correct it.

Edit: if it is the editor that crashes, we need to know which version you're using and how you install it. For example reinstall by steam will not change anything if the steam download cache is damaged, you need to clear it first before reinstalling in that case.
And a few other problems that depend on version and source of your editor

The filesystem is corrupt, if you have a backup and can edit the game I would work towards copying the data over to a FRESH project.
Might take some time, but worth it.

I made the changes to my post
unfortunately that was not what I asked for - for example your screenshot of the filepath begins with "this pc", not with the drive letter.
There are several folder above "documents" if you go through the filepath itself, and I wanted to check if there is any problem in the paths.
Problems like the space in "hidden heros" that have to go, because you will get deployment errors if any part of the filepath contains letters or symbols that are forbidden under networking rules (like spaces are not allowed).

That said, your problem has nothing to do with your project, but with the editor in steam.
I edited my first post, and that is part of what you now need to do to check.

1) go to steam help and search for the instructions on how to clear the download cache. That is prominent there because it is a known problem. After you find it, follow those instructions to clear the cache.
2) deinstall the editor through steam, restart your computer and then reinstall it after the restart. Do NOT test it yet!
3) Launch steam, right-click on the MV editor and open the program properties.
4) go to the language tab and check which language is set there. If it is set to something other than english, set it to english.
If it is set to english, set it to any other language, press OK and wait for the download to finish, then set it to english again.
You do not have to use the different language, I just want to force the mechanism of redownloading the correct language files because the error message is about an empty locale filepath, and "locale" is the file that handles the language settings.

5) once the last download is finished, try to launch the editor and check if it is now working.

If not, we really need the full filepath to your project as an error there is the only thing that could block the editor by blocking it from loading.

In fact it was 5 posts! I have merged them for you this time. If you want to add something and no one has posted after you and it's less than 72 hours since you posted, just use the Edit button on your post and include the additional infor or comment.
If you want to quote more than one person, please use the Multi quote button, otherwise the forum software will automatically create a new post. That is what happened with the first 2 of that string. However, unless you want to specifically highlight a portion of a reply from someone else, it is better to tag them by using @ followed by their username. They will get a notification that you have mentioned them in a post. Like this: @Kes , which you can select from a dropdown list after you have typed a couple of letters.

so it worked for a while then froze again I think I am showing the file path right I don't know
the filepath is OK.
But you never specified if you did everything I told you about reinstalling on steam.
Have you followed those five steps exactly, or was there a step where you didn't understand what to do?
How long is "worked for a while"?

I don't think I was double posting I was merely replying to responses

this is again double posting: you made a post while the last post above it was also from yourself.

If you want to answer to several people use multiquote - or don't quote at all, you can instead use @Username like @jeremaih to trigger a message.

EDIT:
If you want to add something and your own post is the last one, then you need to edit that last post like I did now.

And to your problem: if it worked for several minutes that means you have a background program that damages the editor somehow.
can you repeat the tests and check which part repaired your editor for a time? reinstalling after clearing steam cache but not changing the language, and if that doesn't solve the problem try to change the language only without reinstalling.

@jeremaih A double post is when you post something directly underneath yourself, this is only allowed if 72 hours have passed since your last post. You had 2 posts at the very beginning, with the second one very soon after the first. You then had a string of 5 posts within a couple of hours. You have just done it again. Whether you were replying to other people, or adding new information, you should have used the Edit button as I described in my previous post.

EDIT
Andar got in before me. I should speed up my typing.
