I'd like to know if my plot i came up with isn't exactly like some other persons game. I hear that that happens alot, and while my sort of plot is probably fairly common, i dont really want five people calling me a *insert whatever nasty name you people have for those who steal plots* and saying i did it on purpose.
Better to avoid that headache all together!
The plot:
The Protagonist is the son of a wealthy duke. He start out begrudgeingly taking his young sister to the town market nearby, but while they are their the town gets attacked, and the attackers chase them back to their home before the attackers leaders, two magic arachne, i will call Spider mages, stops them and takes his sister. They were unable to stop them, and they leave, telling the duke that if he does not pay a 1,000,000 gold ransom they will sell his daughter as a slave to Orcs.
The Protagonist and his Mentor set of, however, to find the spider mages and save his sister. But when they find the vilains lair, they humorously discover the villains are morons. The bad guys get away because they mistook an active giant birds nest for a dormant one, and escaped while the player was kept busy with the bird. This starts them chasing the mages through-out the game suffering through all manner of ill-concieved traps and attacks before they finally catch up and defeat them, how exactly i haven't fully decided.
What do you guys think?
