I don't know where else to post this for help,
I am trying to use the plugin: YEP_AnimatedSVenemies and whilst it mostly works, the enemies I create seem to jump around the
battlefield. When they are idle, every 3rd frame from the look of it the character will move closer to the player party and then return. When damaged, they will move to the top right corner of the battlefield, still continuing to step forward and backward and I can't figure out why. I picked up the plugin legitimately, at least I assume it was because I'm pretty sure I got it from steam but I don't know, can anyone tell me how to fix this issue?
I have already made sure the plugin is listed below YEP_BattleEngineCore and isn't seperated from it by any other random scripts.

as first guess that might be caused by a wrong format of the spritesheet because the displays of the engine don't care about what is visible on the sheet, they calculate which part of the sprite to display based on size and structure of the sheet.
Attach one of the spritesheets and we can check if it is a correct one or the cause of this problem.

I have already made sure the plugin is listed below YEP_BattleEngineCore
if you have a lot of yanfly scripts, that is not the only rule to adhere to. It is usually best to have every yanfly plugin in exactly the order given on his website. But you can insert other plugins between them (and have to for some compatibility issues), it's the order in which functions are loaded from the plugins that can cause problems.

Here, one of my sprite sheets. I haven't changed the size of the sheet itself, just edited the apperance of the character and slightly changed what they do what they do when certain frames are called upon.
I will make sure this time that I have the scripts in exact order given on the site too and see if that helps any.
Thanks :rhappy:

The spritesheet looks OK! :kaojoy:

...I got it from steam but I don't know...
Wait, you got it from the dlc subfolder of your RPG Maker MV install folder? Those Yanfly plugins may be outdated...try grabbing the latest versions from Yanfly's site:
It seems Battle Engine Core is currently at v1.50 and Animated SV Enemies is at v1.20. :kaopride:

Also, make sure you don't rename the plugin files. Yanfly's plugins (and those by many other authors) need to be named correctly otherwise they won't recognise their plugin parameters. If they don't find their parameters, weird things can happen. :kaoswt:

So, i got the updated plug-in and have placed it inside the plugin list, but now instead of my enemy bouncing around it just displays the full sprite sheet and opens another window when I test battle. I have not a clue what to do about this one...

I made sure the plugins are in the ordered they're supposed to be in, I didn't rename them or anything because I already assumed that would screw it over in some unforseen way (Glad I had the right instinct there!), but it does this now and I am stumped...

then the plugin is most likely not active/not working - and the element's list doesn't help here at all.

Please give screenshots of your plugin manager so that we can see your complete plugin list, their order, their versions and so on. everything else would only result in wild guesses at the moment.

Why does it open this elements list at all is what I am wondering?
It's very strange.
But anyway, here's the plug-in list as I currently have it, I had to restart so I don't have everything in there I want but I'm fairly certain I have them in the right order... probably not, knowing me

yes, wrong order.
The order is especially important for yanfly's plugins because they change too much if you use several, you'll have to place them exactly in the order given on the main list of yanfly's website. You can leave some out if you don't want them and you can add other plugins between them if that is needed, but yanfly's order has to be followed exactly for the plugins you use from there.
And after that you should try where to place the YED-sideview plugin, it might have to be lower on the list.

Now, I've gone through the plugins on the site and made sure the order listed is the same but now it just shows the base enemy sprite (the one I use to correctly postion the enemy) with no animations at all and still it opens the console and I don't know java-scripts so I cannot for love nor money figure out what it is telling me and if there is a problem.
Am I missing something obvious?

Don't do Battle Test when you're using battle plugins, as the database is loaded a different way for battle test and not all plugins handle it. Do a proper test play and have an event on the map initiate a battle.

If the console is being opened automatically, it may be that you have an error. Go to the Console tab (you've shown the Elements tab) and see if there's an error message there.

You could try starting a new project with just the battle core and sideview enemy plugins, and any other required for SV enemy plugin too work. See if there are any issues, if no problems occur you'll know it's an issue with another plugin. Then in your original project, you can turn all plugins off except the ones you need for SV enemies. Turn them on one by one, until you figure out which one is causing the problems.

I know this takes a while, but I've had to do it before. It helped me figure out which plugin was causing my own issues. Also helped me determine some of my plugins were out of date.

Oh, I thought that was the console... My B, for some reason that's what it keeps opening even when I do play test.

Do you have the open console option on in Yanfly Core Engine, because that causes it to open every time you play test.

What is opening is the Developer Tools window. You will notice at the top that you have the Elements tab selected. Go to the Console tab instead (that is the console) and see if there are errors showing there.

Well, now the extra window isn't opening so small victories.
Though, I am still yet to solve the original problem with the sprite bouncing around the battlefield.
I did a quick test using a new project and it still won't stop doing this. I also experimented and found that of the dozen of these plugins I am using, this is so far the only one that is giving me grief.

I mean, at this point I could just go without but I'm going to be stubborn and keep fighting it to get it to work. Matter or principle? yes, let's go with that.

From your last screenshot, they still don't look like they're in the right order.

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
