Plugin for animated icons?

But obviously for MV. Or can we do it on RMMV without plugins and I'm losing something? I just need simple animations, like two frames.

I haven't seen any plugins for this but you might be able to make a icon sprite sheet that has the icons in the various positions that you want them to be animated in, and use $dataItems[x].iconIndex = y in a parallel event that runs every so often and rotates the images through the icons. According to @izyees

$dataItems[x].iconIndex = yx is item index

y is new icon index

Maybe you could so something in a common event where it runs a loop for the animation to switch the icons every so often making them appear to be animated? Haven't tested this so not sure if it would function, or what kind of lag something like that could cause. Gives you a starting place if you want to start playing around with alternative and some code yourself.

Thank you. I tried using a common event to change the icon index on each x frames but there was a hard hit on frame rate and the icon didn't change . Later I'll see if I can do it in another way.

So bad that plugin was not ported to MV, it would be a good option for many people, I guess.
