I'm currently trying to use the Orange Overlay Plugin in my project but I'm very frustrated and confused on how to make it work?

All my maps are made in-engine with MV, and I'm not using any parallax mapping.

I've tried a bunch of different things but I'm just looking for help making clouds above the map, and a fog effect on other maps

    Am I missing notetags???

    Please help -_-

note: I've already visited other forums and watched different tutorial videos, so I'm wondering if it just comes down to my 'Plugin Manager' placement?

How did you configure and use its switches?

Do you have the right graphics in your graphics folder? are they named correctly?

The videos I watched implied that it was possible to do it without switches and have it scroll in the backround automatically like the basic parallax.

So then how do I use the switches?-_-

I'm just using the graphics that came with the Orange Overlay download.

As far as I understood, i didn't have to rename anything unless I was using multiple parallax effects, which i'm not currently...

    Or is that not correct?

you don't need to use switches if you don't need their functions, but you need to configure them to prevent yourself from triggering them accidentally. Because those switches will always be active.

basically you need to assign the switch IDs to switches you haven't used yet, and then name those switches in your project to prevent future use if you don't want to use them.
If I remember correctly they default to switches 1 to 4, and if you have used any of those switches (and most people do sooner or later) then you can have accidentally activated or deactivated part of the plugin functions already.

So why doesn't it show up then?
I haven't used any of the Switches I have the effects assigned to (#s 3-6)
I even tried renaming the Smog event to "Smog29" as it states in the Plugin that all images HAVE to end with said map's ID#.

    But there's nothing.

Is there a tutorial you can recommend that might be a little more in-depth and doesn't just treat it like 'plug and play' because I'm clearly missing something...

I also tried to look it up on the Hudell's website but there's nothing there -_-
