Hello! Thank you for clicking on this.

So, in one of the dungeons, I plan to have the character push a button and things will move. However, when I go to leave the screen, I want it so that, when I return to that screen, the things that moved will stay in their new positions. I had read in another post (that is years and years old) that this was better done via a plugin.

I can imagine that, with a lot of eventing, I could achieve this but I was curious if anybody had a recommended plugin to help me out.

Unfortunately, no. The post said that a plugin would be better and did not specify. Thank you for your help. :)

@Vazoverse that link is to a plugin to save the events from
moving and stay when you leave map and return, another
alternative is TSR_SaveEvent that does a slightly different
than YEP_SaveEventLocation and works in my opinion better.

but see what suits you more.

Another option, without plugins, is to store the coordinates of the moved object:
  • Control Variables -> Game Data -> Character -> Map X|Y.
You can then have a Parallel event on the map that does this:
  1. Set Event Location (restore event to the stored coordinates);
  2. Erase Event (only run once per visit to the map).
Remember to store the starting coordinates of the object in those variables before the player visits that map for the first time.

That approach can become impractical if you have a lot of these kinds of events, though. :kaoslp:

Tried something. Little sneak peak of Unity AD.

It's the little things. Lengthened the time the bar fades in and out to be a bit more comfortable.
3 days until release!
