Does anyone have, or can point me in the direction of, a plugin tutorial in PDF form so I can download it? I found a JavaScript one but it's confusing me right in the beginning with the <script> </script> stuff because of it being aimed towards web-related scripting. I'm using my dad's phone and I didn't want to be using it all night. We won't have internet until Friday, and for now I can put the pdf on my computer instead of waiting until Friday.

It's not a pdf but instead a series of videos, but this is a really good series of videos for starting

Thanks, I'll look into it for now. I would still prefer a pdf tutorial. But...I'm not particularly picky since I asked for help and you kindly responded, so it is appreciated.

You will not find a general tutorial, just because there are so many things you can do with plugins, and so many ways to write them.

I suggest you find a simple plugin that you like, and see how it was made.  Then look at another, and another.  See what they have in common.  See what's different.  Start small and work your way up.

Okay, will give it a try. Do you know if there are any JavaScript tutorials that don't involve the making of web pages? Or is that equivalent to asking for an rpg maker tutorial and not making a game? Lol.

I think they'd be hard to find.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
