Poison being reflected, not working in battle?

I'm trying to set up an assassin enemy who uses poison every several turns. However, it seems to end up reflected (my character isn't doing anything) and the poison is applied to the enemy instead. Is there something I should be looking for and removing regarding this?

This is probably because you set up the poison skill to hit ally. By ally, the system is referring to people on a particular persons team regardless of player or not. So if an enemy uses poison and the skill is set to ally, then the enemy will poison one of its buddies instead of the enemy. You have to make sure that if you are  using specific skills made for enemies only, that the target is set to enemy. As in, the enemies enemy.

Give a screenshot of the skill and the damage formula.

Check the poison state(not skill) if you adjusted it. Check any gear on characters you are using poison on.

Do you have any scripts that would allow auto states to be applied to gear? If a character is wearing some special equipment that gives reflect then that might be something.

If you are not using scripts, change poison from magic attack to certain hit to get around the issue.

No way to tell why it is being reflected back to the castor just from this.

I changed it to Certain Hit, but it still seems to be reflecting.


I don't have any scripts that modify skills apart from a replacement one, which only works in the event of a skill overwriting another when it is being learnt.


None of my weapons or armour have reflect.


EDIT: Tried more stuff. All magic/skills done by the enemy seem to be being reflected :/


EDIT2: Magician class had MRF at 95% -.-

Ah yes, classes too. Yeah any tab in which a skill can be applied to something should be scrutinized closely when handling an issue. Good for you.
