So guys, bad news (well, I find it to suck really, but others may not).

This guy is in fact Mewtwo, in a new form that he will take on during the new pokemon movie. The rumors that he was his own new pokemon have been squashed with an official update from CoroCoro and GameFreak. We are not getting the infamous Mewthree it seems.... damn... I must say, I really don't like the idea of giving Mewtwo a new form. Mewtwo is an artificial pokemon, created by humans. Why, after all these years, can he just suddenly change into a completely new creature; a power he has never had before? I really hope they give this form a good backstory with some real thought put in, cause I swear if Mewtwo just randomly transforms into this thing with no further explanation, I will be pissed.

Well, that just makes me it even more like Super Saiyan 3 (random unnecessary power-up with no backstory!)

I really wish it was Mewthree though. Alternate forms are neat, yeah, but giving a new form to a 1st gen Pokémon in Gen 6 is really, really weird.

And if it's a new form for a legendary, it will probably shift it's stats to be more aggressive, that's usually what they do. Mewtwo with more aggressive stats sounds frightening.

There's one really good thing about this though...This REALLY increases Mewtwo's changes of returning in Super Smash Bros.! It could be a form to switch back and forth from, like Zelda/Sheik, or a final smash. (I just hope that if Mewtwo returns they don't feel the need to drop Lucario)

When Smash Bros 3 came out, I was so freaking happy that I played it non-stop for like a week, only to not find my beloved Mewtwo anywhere on the roster. He was, instead, replaced by Lucario, who was shoved into the game mainly so that they could have a newer pokemon in it. Don't get me wrong, I like Lucario as a whole, but why did he have to be a Mewtwo clone? Was Nintendo teasing us? For the love of Arceus, Lucario is a Steel and Fighting type, why did he play like the godfather of all Psychic pokemon? I say bring back mewtwo as he was before (with possible form change added in), Keep Lucario but with significant fighting style changes, drop Pokemon Trainer (for the love of all things holy, drop Pokemon Trainer), and give us a tank pokemon (slow and is inaccurate attacks, but hits hard and is hard to kill... like Ganondorf and bowser). For a tank pokemon, I would love to see any of the following...


Rhyperior, Tyranitar, Machamp, Golurk, Electivire, Magmortar, Emboar, or Poliwrath.


If we absolutely have to have another speedy pokemon, like most of the other pokemon that have been in Smash Bros so far, give us either Blaziken, Garchomp, or Infernape. My dream list though would be if we could have Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Mewtwo, Blaziken, and Electivire/Magmortar/Rhyperior (any of the three, they would all work out about the same) all in one game. I would never use a non-pokemon character again in Smash Bros if that was the roster. But on the topic of Smash Bros rosters, I would also love to see some Dragon Quest characters show up as well (even though I realize that wont happen). Nothing would please me more than beating Mario to a pulp as Estark... just saying...

I know, Lucario playing like Mewtwo makes very little sense. Kind of like how Ganondorf playing like Captain Falcon is a JOKE. (Ganondorf's moveset would be PERFECT for Black Shadow, I mean, really)

This "Mewthree" being a new Mewtwo form is strong suggestion for Mewtwo being in, and probably replacing Lucario. Maybe I shouldn't say this because you don't seem to like Pokémon Trainer, but...I thought before that instead of dropping Lucario, he could get absorbed into one of Cynthia's Pokémon, like with Pokémon Trainer. Like, Lucario, Garchomp, Milotic? I don't know, I'd go for that...

A Tank Pokémon is a good idea...I'd go for something from 5th Gen, because it's had no playable representation yet. Can't think of one that has a chance really though...

Since you mentioned speedy Pokémon, I immediately think...Scyther or Lopunny! Though I know almost no one will agree with me there...

 But on the topic of Smash Bros rosters, I would also love to see some Dragon Quest characters show up as well (even though I realize that wont happen). Nothing would please me more than beating Mario to a pulp as Estark... just saying...

If there were Dragon Quest characters in Smash Bros I would never touch any other characters in the roster xD Beating Mario to a pulp with Estark? Hyde, you just made my day!~ Chuck in Psaro and Roto/ Erdrick to duel with Ike as well. OH, OH have Abel's (MC from DQ5) final smash be summoning a stampede of his tamed monsters! Okay, this is starting to sound like Battle Road Victory now! xD

As for Mewtwo's new form, I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. It's like he went from Freiza to Kid Buu. So until I see some stats and back story I don't really have much to say on the matter.

Lucario was put in Brawl to promote Diamond and Pearl. Mewtwo was originally in Brawl and almost made it in, but time constraints came in, and developers didn't want to delay the game again for fear of losing potential customers. I originally thought Zoroark will be in SSB4, but Mewtwo will be making a return, and possibly this forme could be his final smash. I however...HATE that its a forme. I'm with Jwittz on this, I dislike the formes and they are just a cheap way to make movies. I thought it would be its own pokemon like a completed mass produced version of mewtwo, but since its a forme I find it bull. So I can guess who will be the one to unleash mewtwo's true potential in order to defeat Genesect.

The thing about the idea of a Mewthree is that Mewtwo was supposed to be the ONLY clone Pokemon, having a Mewthree would kinda screw that up. I really like Majin Buutwo here as a form personnally, idk exactly why. I just thing the idea of a Mewthree is bull.

EDIT: On the subject of Lucario:

Yeah he sucks. They tried way too hard to make him cool and they put him into everything they could get their hands on. Plus, It was so cool be a legendary in Smash Bros.

I don't think Mewthree would mess things up. Think about it... Mewtwo was considered a failed experiment by Giovanni because he refused to listen to orders, and Mewtwo was pretty much created for Giovanni, through his funding. Knowing Giovanni's personality, I doubt he would have stopped at one single fail. I believe he would have gone back and made his scientists fix their mistake. So a Mewthree would be doable, but it would have less of its own personality, and be more submissive, but with the strength of Mewtwo, or even beyond seeing as technology has come further since Mewtwo.

Swampert. The Mudkip line is physical based, you shouldn't waster Special Attacks moves on it.
